Good at first, but eventually sprayed ink on the walls!

Summary: This was a good printer at first. It connected to my wireless router and worked out of the box just fine. I didn't need a crazy-fast or a photo lab quality printer, so it fit my needs just fine (and getting it for a clearance price certainly helped!). However, after two years of owning it, I just can't recommend this printer because it goes through ink like water through a sieve.
Summary: I have had this printer for over a year and I haven't had any technical problems with it at all. It does everything they say it's supposed to do so I won't bore you with all that stuff. Simply read above; but, please be advised that this printer is an ink hog and I'm an average user at most. I couldn't possibly imagine the ink usage in a busy office or home environment.
Summary: After only having this printer for about a year and not even using it that often, the scanner now has a defect. When I tried to make a B&W copy of a friend's document, I ended up with a huge, black vertical line on the paper. This line is a colored line when I try to scan an image onto my computer. I reset the printer and cleaned the glass as instructed, but no luck.
Summary: Thankfully, the printer was free when I purchased a Macbook because it is noisy and an overall awful printer. I'm contemplating buying a printer because I can't keep up with the expense of always buying new ink. We do NOT print a lot at home. Our last printer's ink lasted us about six months, if not longer; this one, I'd say every month, if not sooner. We only print for schoolwork and a photo here and there.
Summary: The worst thing about this printer, and if you plan on buying a printer that you use only occasionally, is that this thing eats ink for breakfast. Ink levels will drop, whether or not you use this device. So unless you plan on using this machine a lot, do not buy. What holds this from being a one-star review is that it has good print quality, and a good scan quality, but I would not recommend buying this as the cost of the ever-evaporating inks will swamp whatever you...
Summary: I bought this printer, and am regretting it. Would not recommend Pros - Wireless connection - Easy setup with Windows 7 Cons - Scanner stops working every time I use it. Literally, every time I want to scan something, I need to uninstall the printer and reinstall - Ink apparently evaporates, and quick! Expect to replace ink VERY often - Printer won't print with "low" ink...
Wastes ink and user interface is needlessly complicated
8 February 2011
Summary: The user interfaces are more complicated than they need to be--especially for the scanner. I much prefer using my older, but excellent HP scanner than this one. This is the first HP printer I've owned--because it came free with my new computer. I am an Epson fan, and all of the ones I've owned over the last 15 years have performed wonderfully and lasted a long time before breaking down. And yet, I get told regularly how bad they are and how expensive Epson ink is.
Pictures/Prints are Great - Requires Most Inefficient Ink Ever.

Summary: I was very excited to get this printer. The ink that came with it went quick, but I expected that, figuring they were "test" inks with not as much in them as a normal cartridge. I was wrong. This is the most inefficient ink printer I've ever used. What's worse is that HP doesn't tell you there are 2 DIFFERENT 564 black ink cartridges. If you go to BJ's or Costco to buy your ink cartridges all together, the black ink one you get with it WILL NOT FIT in this printer.
Summary: Printer is all right, nothing exceptional. But if you are using a Mac, don't buy. Not just this printer, but any HP printer. Trouble shooting help is available for Windows users only. After searching the HP website for Mac troubleshooting help, I turned to the HP telephone help line. Half an hour later, during which time I heard more sales pitch than help, I was finally told by a supervisor that HP would not waste their time to have a customer service representative find...
Summary: I found this product to be of good quality but a dis-appointment too. Sure it is aa All in one printer, but It only takes the MS/DUO,and SD/XD. It does NOT take the Compact Flash cards! I had bought my printer at a local store figuring I can't go wrong with a HP product. How wrong I was! I found out it does not take my CF card ! How could they NOT include that in their new PHOTO Printer. Many new digital cameras now have the Compact Flash cards.
