Love paper jams?

M. Schuler "cake97", Amazon
11 July 2014
  • Summary: Do you like paper jams? They you will love this printer! Does it work when you need it? Nope. Does it feed paper through cleanly when not printing and then jam the second you want something? Of course! Easily enter a wifi password, ha! You will be scrolling through with arrow clicks for a good five minutes! Other than the fact that it occasionally decides to print wirelessly and not jam, it eats ink as fast as possible.

Have two of them, both are awful

Steve, Amazon
11 September 2013
  • Summary: The wireless NEVER works. We have two that came for free with two Macs bought 6 months apart. Both of them never work correctly, colors are dull and washed out, and the wireless only works when it wants to. Buy this printer only if you want a major headache.

misfeeds and cartridge error message every time

Christine Chambreau, Amazon
19 June 2013
  • Summary: The printer works only intermittently, first has cartridge installed incorrectly message requiring removing and replacing the same cartridges. Then misfeeds the paper until that is cleared. Then maybe you can get a job to start printing. Not worth the $, buy an upgraded model.

Highly recommend you stay away from HP

jeffreybaks, Amazon

  • Summary: I really liked this printer for a year and half or so, it did it all and it has wireless networking that allows any computer on your home network to print with the simple click of a button. It has since stopped working all togather and every time I print something I have to fight with it for 20 minutes because of a cartridge error. Iv added new cartridges and took all the recommended steps but it simply brings errors up now all the time. HP stinks, point blank.

Mechanical issue in paper feeder makes it annoying to unusable

M. Hudkins "mhudkins15", Amazon
21 February 2013
  • Summary: I've had this printer for awhile, and use it infrequently for mostly text. Since I have owned it I have had continual problems with the mechanism for feeding paper. It frequently has trouble grabbing the paper in the tray and stops to say there is no paper. When it is able to use the paper in the loading tray, it jams very frequently. Recently, after installing a new cartridge, printing the alignment page, and scanning it, the feeder mechanism broke completely.

Worst printer ever!

Rebecca E. Carpenter, Amazon
2 February 2013
  • Summary: This printer jams every time I print. Once I clear it, the job goes fine until it thinks it's out of paper. I can only put 10 pieces of paper in the tray or it can't pick one up -- and it thinks it's out of paper when it has three pieces left. Printing takes continuous monitoring. I've had to give up on WiFi printing, because every time I try it I have to troubleshoot and work on it -- and then maybe get it working and maybe not.

awful

zae123, Viewpoints

  • Excerpt: I purchased this product mainly to use at home. I will never purchase another Hewlett-Packard product again in my lifetime. This product was over priced and should never have been given the energy star seal of approval. It is absolute garbage. It breaks easily. It gives bad quality prints. forget about trying to print photos. The colors are all wrong and the general color is dull looking.
