misfeeds and cartridge error message every time

Christine Chambreau, Amazon
19 June 2013
  • Summary: The printer works only intermittently, first has cartridge installed incorrectly message requiring removing and replacing the same cartridges. Then misfeeds the paper until that is cleared. Then maybe you can get a job to start printing. Not worth the $, buy an upgraded model.

the power cord does not work; I'll have to order a new one to test the item

cdtitus9, Ebay
10 January 2012
  • Summary: I can't tell much about this product because I could not use it due to a nonfunctional power cord. All I can say is that I found the cost very good for the potential usage I could get from this all-in-one printer.

DoA...and HP support is non-existant

Jonathan Irwin "eagle_jdi", Amazon
14 September 2011
  • Summary: To begin, I am a computer technician and fairly competent with printer repairs as well. I just wanted a cheap printer for upstairs for my wife and her laptop. Instead I have an expensive, loud paperweight. Turn it on, and the cartridge bay just rams back and forth 2-3 times and then says cartridge error. And by rams, I mean I'm surprised it didn't break through the side. Oh, and anybody who wants to find support on HP's website I dare you to try.

"Great for everything, but printing!"

addwine, CNET
12 September 2011
  • Pros: Wireless connection. Scanner. All the bells and whistles that one currently expects in modern technology.
  • Cons: Forgot to include the "app" that does printing. In other words, every 5th page I printed with this printer ended up gnarled and chewed. I had to take the thing apart to get the shredded paper out. I had another HP for 8 years with no problem. This model l

  • Cons: Everything. Have tried 4 evenings th get my 2 desktops to print to this pile of junk without luck. Spent 2 hours on the phone with "tech support" which didn't have a clue how to help. Printer connects to wireless hub but that's it. Went through firewall s
