Great printer, but poor ink capacity and lots of paper jams

Summary: I never write reviews, but based on my experience with this printer, I thought I would post my findings on the HP Photosmart C8180. I have had HP printers in the past. I loved my colored ribbon HP printer that I used to have. It was great.
Summary: I need to print clear, simple labels for CDs containing reports that I submit to clients. After my old printer died, this was the only printer I could find that purportedly offered CD printing, so I purchased it.
Summary: I got this printer a few years ago. It worked wonderfully until the printhead for black ink went out on me. When I tried to get it repaired I was informed that HP doesn't make this part anymore so it could not be fixed. According to the repair guy, this is not uncommon with HP.
Summary: This printer is terrible. My much less expensive HP printer that I had to buy because this one wasn't compatible with Windows 7, which was an HP Photosmart C4780, is much better than this. Here are my pros and cons.
Summary: I've owned at least 12 HP printers and all have been good except this one. When not jamming or double feeding it prints great text and photos. Right now the back access door is being held in with a clothspin wedge because several of the cheap little tabs have broken off.
Summary: I purchased this a year ago and have been frustrated every month. First off, it prints incredibly slow, whether it's a photo or a simple black & white document. Worse, the printer will refuse to print a black & white document if there is an empty color ink cartridge.
For the price, this printer has some annoying flaws

Summary: I bought this printer to replace an officejet 5500 series for the higher picture quality and the high quality scans. However, there are a few concerns I have with the printer. 1. Most important, the black ink the printer uses is terrible.
