Summary: I can only think of reasons why you wouldn't want to buy the machine. The ink dries out before you get to use it. New ink cartrages have varying amounts of ink...weigh them and see. Inks "expire" and you can't get any further. Printed photographs are far from true colours and certainly not those displayed in the little viewer.
Summary: I have had this printer for 5 months and it was fine for a couple months. Then I started getting the "ink system failure" error codes. Nothing but trouble ever since.... I have tried every "fix" and suggestion I could find but the end result is "IT'S FRIED!" I should have read the reviews first!
So disappointed in this printer going to purchase another Brand

Summary: I purchased this HP Photosmart C7280 All in One about a year and half ago. I was so excited especially since it was in our local Warehouse Costco store monthly coupon book. Our first HP Printer lasted for many years with no problems just got old and wouldn't configure with the new Mac system we purchased 2 years ago.
Excerpt: I had always bought Hp products until this one. It has totally changed my outlook on HP. The photos don' t even look like a photo. The printer jams continually. Everytime anything paper is put into the feeder it brings a window up on the computer. I don't need the computer to fax or copy! It takes forever for it to go through it's "printer preparation" every time I try to print anything.
Worst printer ever, won't buy another HP product again

Summary: In the beginning, this printer was fine. The photo quality was acceptable, and the network features were convenient and worked well enough. Then we upgraded to Windows 7 on all PCs and the duplex printing started spewing a spurious error message that the Duplex module wasn't installed (which was incorrect). The message could be ignored and the print job completed as desired.
Summary: This is one of the worst pieces of hardware I have ever owned. Paper jams every 3rd or 2nd print job (tried every expensive inkjet paper I could find). This is so annoying when you just want to print a single page and get on with life. Drinks ink by the gallon. Got around that by purchasing a continuous ink supply system. Scan to PDF is nice enough but scans are painfully slow and not duplex.
Summary: HP has programmed this hunk of junk so that the ink cartridges have an expiration date. No, they aren't used up, or even close to being empty, HP just forces you to purchase new ink cartridges that truly aren't needed. Why aren't the environmentalists going crazy on HP for this disgusting waste of resources? And they prevent you from printing until you do such. Its a nice little blackmail scheme they've got going.
Summary: Where to start... Sometime this year a Windows 7 update occured. Since then it has been downhill. There is an annoying configuration issue that says the printer is offline, even when it is not. The issue happens when connected wirelessly and wired. The solution according to HP and the blogs is to reinstall the drivers. Again, and again, and again, ... Needless to say, this has not helped. If we have one computer printing on any given day, it is a great day.
Summary: If you have just purchased this printer, welcome to hell. I can't tell you how many times I have re-installed the printer software at this point. About once a month, it just stops receiving print jobs. Everything is a big green "check" in the status box but nothing works. So, enter the hell of reinstalling this beast. First, if you do a vanilla uninstall/reinstall nothing changes.
