A CONSISTENTLY GREAT PRODUCT BUT WITH A WORD OF WARNING ABOUT THE INK PACKS

Summary: I have had the HP Photosmart C7280 for some years. When it decided to go belly up, there was no hesitation about seeking out another one. Of course, I was not interested in buying anything new because the prices were so completely outrageous. So my only choice was to comb through the eBay site and see what was available. Luckily, the machine I bought was like brand new with very little print usage.
Excerpt: I bought my HP Photosmart C7280 as a replacement and upgrade, after my old printer died. I have used it to make photo prints of a quality equal to store bought. The scanner lets you decide if you want a document to be an OCR, or PDF, or just make a plain black & white or color copy. The only dowside that I have found is that I've had to buy various color refills. When making a lot of photos, it uses a lot of yellow. By recycling cartridges at Staples and buying...
Excerpt: The HP Photosmart C7280 all-in-one printer is a good buy for home computer use. It doesn't take up much desk space but packs all the features needed. My photos printed with bright vivid colors. Not the fastest printer out there but has decent speed for day to day jobs. Ink cartridges are reasonably priced and very easy to install.
Excerpt: Very happy with the HPC7280! The best feature is wireless - I can have in my office but can move around if needed. Prints beautiful pictures! Love having a home office scanner for not a lot of money! And indivudual ink cartridges are much better than the B&W or color.
Excerpt: I purchased my HP Photosmart C7280 All-In-One Printer to replace my old Photosmart All-In-One. I like the individual color ink cartridge instead of the black + tri-color in my old HP. If one color runs out of ink, you only have to buy that particular cartridge $$$. The 'printer shut-down' feature if one of the ink cartidges is completely empty is an excellent idea..
Excerpt: This printer seems to have a mind of it own. It's less than 2 years old. I've had it go through what I call "fits". All the buttons would flash on and off, and you can not shut it off, unless you unplug the printer from the power supply. Twice now I have had this printer come up with a message on the screen that "one of the ink cartridges is missing or damaged".
Check out if the C7280 HP Printer is supported by Vista before y

Excerpt: Once again, HP's 800 toll free tech support outside the U.S. lacks basic information to help a user solve a problem. I had no idea that Microsoft's Vista Operating System does not support scanning from HP's C7280 Photosmart All-In-One Printer; neither did their techs. I spent 2 hours on the first call only to be told that the tech needed to research further and call me back in 4 hours, which he never did. The second call lasted 1 hour and 40 minutes when the tech...
