Cons: Slow printing times, especially when hooked up to network. Smears like crazy, allow 1 hour drying time before touching the printed document (I wish I was joking about this). Lackluster scanning .... yet to try photo printing, I really dont have the spare time to let the photos dry.
Summary: I have to reconsider whether or not I would get this printer again.... Seems to be a pattern of failures that I can not understand.
Pros: When working it produces great color pictures.
Cons: The first C6280 failed after about three months. The Cyan simply quit printing. Tried new cartridge but the head appears to be completely shutdown. No streaking or partial failure. Just totally dead. After a long, long discussion with customer service and many resets and power off then on testing...
Summary: The Highs: -Prints on both sides automatically (if you set it to do so). -Wireless printing. -Print quality, even on draft settings, is very good. The Lows: -Loud. Extremely loud. Loudest printer I've ever heard. -Slow. Very slow. Slowest printer I've ever used. -Paper jams. Many paper jams.
Summary: If you are using Windows 2000 DO NOT buy this printer!! It says that it supports Win2000 on the box and the install disk also says that it is Win2000 compatible, however, after 2 hrs on the phone with HP support they said that it wouldn't work with Win2000!!
Summary: I wish I could give this machine 0 stars. Even though it *was* printing well, it has now stopped. I only want to print black and white at the moment, but it refuses to print anything, even black and white, when it says that one of your color ink cartridges is out of ink.
Summary: This would be an excellent printer were it not for a single problem. The constant PAPER UPSIDE DOWN ERROR. When I'm printing DVD labels I use images and the printer scans the paper looking for photo paper.
Summary: Poor drivers and software. HP Error message can not be removed from my system, even though I uninstalled the drivers multiple times and edited the registry. The Ink cartridges it comes with are for limited use. You are supposed to replace them because they go bad if you don't use them frequently.
