Summary: Exclusive business users might find a laser printer more to their liking but, for a home office with a need to mix faxing and decent text output with a desire for eye-catching photographs; the C6180 is a decent option.
Pros: Dedicated photo tray, High quality prints, Fast print speeds
Summary: The HP Photosmart C6180 all-in-one tries to be everything to everyone, and ultimately it fails to meet this lofty goal. It's a good printer at a decent price, however, for the home user who wants to consolidate all tasks into one machine.
Pros: Built-in networking, including wireless, Supplies ADF and media card reader, PictBridge port can be used to connect storage devices, Great print quality and good scan quality, Dedicated photo paper tray
Cons: Task speeds are a bit slow, Colour prints can be expensive, Photo print features need to be fleshed out
Excerpt: HP's PhotoSmart multifunction devices may have photo printing in mind, but the £199 C6180 has one foot firmly placed in the office, too. Some of the more business-friendly features include the 33.6Kbps (kilobits per second) fax modem and full networking facilities, and the HP will slot into wired and wireless networks.
