Summary: Ive had this printer for about 3 years now. I purchased it for it's feature to print directly onto DVD/CDs along with the ability to scan and print. It has worked just fine over the years with a couple of small hiccups. It seems the ink doesnt really last as long as I would like (and can be pricey to replace) along with when I upgraded my OS to Win 7 I had to purchase drivers so it would work.
Summary: I love this printer, the HP Photosmart C5580 All-in-One Printer. However, after 9 months, I started getting a Paper Jam error everytime I tried to print. There was no paper jam, and after pressing the "ok" button and letting the machine clean itself for 2 minutes, it would print just fine. I am giving you the steps to reset the firmware in the printer. It has cleared the problem for me, hope it helps you too. 1. Use the On button to turn on the product. 2.
Summary: It seems to be a very nice printer. The only trouble I've had so far is I cannot get it to print my envelopes. It kept giving me an error that said "mismatched paper", no matter what I did. I gave up and am using labels instead, which it prints fine. That was the only disappointing thing so far. I had a prior HP Printer that was a real workhorse and I loved it, so I'm hoping this one too will be a good longlasting one. Good printer for the money!
Summary: This isn't really a review, sorry. It doesn't look like (m)any people are using Bluetooth with this printer (not that I'd blame you), just curious how it does/would work. Is the adapter for the computer, or the printer (or is it unclear)? USB or PCI(-e) or other? Obviously, if it's a printer-specific device, one would need a Bluetooth adapter for the computer as well. If it's a PC/Mac adapter though, does the printer require additional hardware as well?

Summary: In all of my research on this product, I couldn't find the definitive answer to whether it could scan multiple pictures at one time and separate them into individual files. Now that I've purchased this all-in-one, the answer is definitely YES! I was able to put 4 3.5x5 prints on the scanner and hit the scan button in the software.
Summary: Over the new year, we decided to upgrade our home computer system. Dealing with Windows based laptops and a low end Lexmark printer was just getting to frustrating. With my kids needing to print out more docs and "Powerpoints" for school, we knew we needed to upgrade. Lots of research had me narrowed down to HP and Canon. I also wanted the ability for decent quality picture printing, scanning and copying.
Lengthy Installation (though not bad for me), nice product

Summary: I had no problems at all with my installation with Windows XP home edition. It took longer than my previous Epson printer installations, but I wasn't in a hurry so no problem. This printer came with the bluetooth adapter, but I just used the old USB cord I had from my last printer to set everything up which provided absolutely no problems at all.
Summary: Using this printer with a MacPro and G5 laptop. I've used HP laserjets for many years, and was determined to stick to a manufacturer with a proven track record. I bought this printer as an all-purpose workhorse. The copier function is a real plus! As a professional designer, I'm not using this printer for finished product or to output final photo images. Multi-function printers rarely excel in any one function, yet so far I've been very pleased.
Summary: Fully functioning and easy to set up, I am happy with my purchase. The only draw back, and this applied to my last HP printer as well, is that their software is a bear to use. Annoying is the only word that comes to mind.
