Great Printer from HP. They Should have kept making this one.
9 October 2014
Summary: I bought this product for parts, for one I already have. I liked this model because of the cd/dvd print option. The one I bought this for parts and it worked so good I kept. I still need parts for the first one. When the first one failed I purchased an Epson XP-610. I don't like the cd/dvd print option so I am back to the great HP. This model was great until a gear went bad, so I may have to purchase another to fix it.
Summary: purchased similar model new, then discovered that Staples wouldn't take back ink cartridges, even unopened in original packaging. So I purchased this model used online hoping it would work for a while. Still printing after several years!
Summary: I had a printer just like it, and didn't want to change. I found this one and purchased it and then wondered if I did the right thing. It has been great. Works better than I could have imagined. I am so happy I purchased it.
Summary: My 5 year old HP printer broke and couldn't be repaired. I tried a new comparable HP from a big box store...very flimsy so I returned it, determined to get my hands on the older model. Bought a used one from Techquidate and it arrived in less than a week. Very clean, like new, and works perfectly so far. Glad I was just replacing an identical one as the used one didn't come with the install disk or the cord to connect it to the computer...both of which I had.
Summary: Works like it should it prints have not used it for all the capabilities it has just currently on white plain paper. Will be testing it for photo's soon. Will be using it for product photo and sign making.
Summary: Yes I had a C5580 All-in-One and it recently quit working so I had to replace it. This printer has the same most important feature that I was after an that was the print directly to CD, not to mention it also prints studio quality photos. I was fortunate to find this one on here because there wasn't a whole lot of them with this feature on here.
Summary: I have worked as a professional Graphic Designer since 1991. Throughout those twenty-one years, I have worked for Corporations large (Macy*s), medium-sized (Exodus Communications) and small (Createteria). I have used countless printers, from large-format Fiery to little desktop Epson models. This specific printer - the HP C5280 - is far and away the best printer I have ever had the pleasure of installing drivers for. I use it daily and it has never let me down.
Summary: I bought this printer when I was in grad school in 2007 and it is still running! From reading previous reviews, it seems a lot of the problems were compatibility issues. Not sure why, but I use this with my MacBook which runs Lion. I'm still able to print documents and pictures, scan images with no problem. I can't recall having one single jam. As far as the DVD/CD printing, I rarely use it, and can't comment on that. Overall, I love this printer.
