A printer well worth the money, and easy to use.
3 May 2014
Summary: The Photosmart C5280 is one of the best printers HP ever made in my opinion. The ink lasts a long time if you get the XP type. This printer is slow to print photos and CDs but worth the wait. It will print a variety of envelope and photo sizes unlike some other high-end printers. Scaning and enlarging photos is very easy and plain to understand unlike some other printers.
Summary: Great printer. My first one lasted 3 years with heavy use and it fit my needs so well I bought the exact same one. Prints great photos - not quality for a top photographer, but definitely fits the needs of family life.
HP Photosmart C5280 All-in-One Printer Scanner Copier

Summary: I can't beleive some of the bad reviews. The CD/DVD printing alone is worth the price. In addition, you get scanning, lab quality printing without a PC, copying function & relatively cheap ink replacement cartridges. It wasn't that long ago you didn't get all of these features without throwing down a few hundred dollars. I paid $65 on clearance. Superb printer for the money!
Summary: we've had this printer for at least 2 years and it has worked pefectly with no problems whatsoever. We would not be looking for another one if not for the fact that the hinge in the back that helps hold the cover in place has cracked and therefore wont work. We called to get it repaired but there are no replacement parts. This needs to change! I mean to get rid of a perfectly good machine for a dumb reason like this is very angering.
HP C5280: Great printer/prints directly on CDs DVDs
24 July 2008
Summary: I only use and buy HP printers mostly due their features and the ability to recycle ink cartridges. I've owned dozens of HP printers - mostly so I can test them to recommend them to customers. This particular HP All In One has been one of more favorite HP printers. It prints directly onto CDs and DVDs using a separate tray. It has a very straightforward - direct from camera media printing fuction and a very easy to understand quick color copy function.
Excerpt: I've been delighted with my C5280 printer. It's quite compact and fits nicely in any home environment and the print quality and feature set is excellent. First of all, I'll talk about my favourite features. CD Printing. The first is the ability to print onto CD / DVD / Blu-Ray discs with an inkjet coating. This is so much better than using labels or writing on the discs.
Excerpt: We needed a new printer when the old one broke down under the weight of our son's science project. Not being a techie, I looked for one which had reviews of being easy to use and easy to install. This fit the bill and I was able to find it at a reasonable price. Easy to install? Very - took minutes using the easy to follow instructions, before it was upp and running. I liked the photo slots so that you don't need to go through a computer to view and rpint your photos.
A great all in one for the home user with the added feature of being able to print onto CD/DVD

Excerpt: The Photosmart C5280 is nicely styled in a subtle two tone of grey and white with smooth rounded edges. To the front left side of this sleek panel is the 61mm colour LCD display that can be closed snugly into the top of the printer itself and pulled back out when required. The control buttons are situated at the front of the printer and there are 11 in total, all picked out with silver, giving the machine a modern look and feel.
