HP Photosmart C5180 All-in-One Printer
27 July 2014
Excerpt: My HP Photosmart C5180 All-in-One Printer is a great printer that I would suggest to anyone. It has many features that impress me, and one feature in particular saves money for me. This feature involves the ink cartridges.
Summary: I love the six ink cartridges (black, magenta, cyan, yellow, lt. magenta and lt. cyan). This way I only have to change the cartridges that are empty. Usually, the most frequent is the yellow. It is cheaper and less wasteful.
Summary: This may be my first 1-star rating for a product, but it's well-deserved. HP has always been a laggard when it comes to software drivers, and this is never more evident than the drivers for the C5180. I've never used a more bloated, poorly working print driver. It had difficulty networking with anything other than the host PC.
Summary: THIS IS BY FAR THE BEST PRINTER I'VE EVER OWNED...THE PROBLEM IS I WORE IT OUT...IT WILL NOT STAY CONNECTED TO MY COMPUTER ....I HAVE TO BOOT IT EVERYDAY.....I WENT ON LINE & BOUGHT ANOTHER C5180 (used) WAS NOT IN GOOD SHAPE....RECEIVED MY MONEY BACK.....THEN MADE A DEAL WITH HP FOR A TRADE-IN FOR AN UP-GRADE RECEIVED A GREAT DISCOUNT & EVERYONE IS HAPPY..
Summary: This is the best printer I have ever owned. I bought one of these when they first came out and loved it. I have printed thousands of pictures and several thousand other pages and the ink seems to go a long way. The only reason I looked for another printer is that the scanner developed a small issue whereby a tiny line was left on the edge of all my scans. So I thought I would stick with the HP brand and bought a new HP photosmart premium. This proved to be a big mistake.
Good product but eventually they all will freeze up

Summary: Well i purchased one brand new for around $200.00 had it roughly 4 or 5 years never had a problem with it good product. It just recently gave out on me froze up and wouldn't work so i turned to ebay to look for a used one because I just purchased alot of ink for mine before it went. Now the used one I bought is doing the same thing that mine did before it went to heck so I guess what I'm saying in overall good product but eventually its seems like HP has a problem with...
Worse printer ever. GET A LIFE HP! Terrible. Waste of money.

Summary: Worst printer ever. If you try to use aftermarket ink cartridges, the machine will drive you nuts, at least that's what mine did. It got to a point where it would refuse to print a job unless I restarted it and after restart immediately print the job that I wanted to print. Nothing but problems, when it worked it printed nice, even with the generic cartridges, but boy did it put up a fuss if you kept generic cartridges in it.
