Summary: Just bought this. Went through the setup and everything linked up fine. However, when I went to print the alignment page, I could hear the rollers moving but no paper was picked up. I keep getting an "out of paper" error. I have done everything that they recommend to fix this (reset the printer, open the door on the back and "clean" the brand new rollers, etc). Nothing works. Brand new... out of the box... wont pick up paper. Very frustrated with this purchase.
Summary: worked fine for approximately 2 weeks, then would no longer print. I got message saying "printer offline". When I tried to find help to get it back online, I was told that it is outdated, and HP no longer supports this printer, making it virtually worthless to me
Summary: DO NOT BUY THIS PRINTER!!!!! I have had nothing but problems with this POS. It uses a ton of ink and I always seems to be out. The feed wheels do a poor job of grabbing smooth backed photo paper which cause the paper to get stuck and a whole photo worth of ink is printed on a single line. I have had COUNTLESS compatibility issues with Windows 7 and the installation setup software freezes and you cant get it off your screen.
Mediocre machine with indifferent company to stand behind it.

Summary: I will NEVER buy another HP printer again. I have had it for a couple of years and have never been able to get it to work smoothly with 2 different computers, it is always a struggle and you can only scan from the computer it was installed with. On top of it all, when I got a new router, it is impossible to get it to connect. The support pages provided by HP are totally useless. The steps are inaccurate (e.g.
Summary: When I opened the box it was clear that someone had returned this printer - plastic bags were open, color ink cartridge was not there even though it said it was. When I started using the printer I had many paper jams, printer would not always print or print would not complete a document, blurry print, etc. I went to Best Buy and bought a printer that works well!
Summary: DON'T BUT THIS IF YOU ARE A COLLEGE STUDENT! This thing is awful, I have replaced my black and color ink's 3 times and I have not even finished a 500 page ream of paper- I barely print in color and use the lowest quality print setting too! It was going to cost $36 for a set of color and black ink, so I did the only reasonable thing and bought a $50 Brother Laser printer.
Summary: Just don't waste your money. I have this printer and it is the bane of my existence. I've had other HP printers and they are awful, too. HP does NOT make quality printers, from my experience. Or quality computers. Or quality anything. Go with something - anything - else. A monkey with a crayon, listening to you tell him what to draw would do you better than this printer.
Free printer but they should have paid me to take it

Summary: This printer is a nightmare to use. It rarely prints without errors. The wireless connections are difficult to set up and once set up it rarely works without error messages. When I connect using cords it occasionally works but more often I get error messages. I hate this printer. I got it free with the purchase of a Macbook but they should have paid me to take it. If you need to scan things but never print, this product might work OK for you.
Summary: The printer is bad, it's poorly constructed, doesn't allow proper refill, ports are of poor quality, it's hard to use, hard to set up and the worst of all is that the drivers are so heavy anyone without a mainframe 100 core and 800GB of RAM is going to have performance affected. No, seriously, I have a 2nd Gen core i3 and 4GB and this slows the PC to a crawl. HP removed the "Basic Drivers" from the web, which were less bloatware for the printer.
