Too thirsty for ink!

Thatoneguy, Amazon
18 February 2014
  • Summary: DON'T BUT THIS IF YOU ARE A COLLEGE STUDENT! This thing is awful, I have replaced my black and color ink's 3 times and I have not even finished a 500 page ream of paper- I barely print in color and use the lowest quality print setting too!

Garbage

Garrett R., Newegg
18 May 2011
  • Summary: HP, I am severely disappointed in this piece of junk you sold me. I have a 930c from the 1990s that still works great... I think I need to invest in a good parallel port to USB adapter for it and go back to it because this printer is seriously a big shiny paperweight.
  • Pros: Prints quickly and looks pretty... well when you can coax it into printing
  • Cons: I have NEVER, EVER, EVER gotten this to print a single item without fighting with it. The error messages are trivial if non-existent. Sometimes it just 'locks up' but the console still responds. I am about to go office space on this thing. Now ink cartridges are complaining? I've printed less tha...

horrible

Anonymous, Newegg
14 March 2010
  • Summary: Funny if you go to the HP site it says to load 20 to 25 pages of paper to test out the paper feed. Why? If this works do you really think I am going to pay someone to stand around and count paper all day?
  • Pros: wireless
  • Cons: possibly the worst printer I have owned, and I go back to c-64 days. This printer is not the best example of HP printers IMO, the printing is terrible, it is always faded on top and the paper feed has NEVER worked since day one. The printer always shows "out of paper", it will eventually print 1(...

such a bad experience

WENCHANG Q., Newegg
4 September 2009
  • Summary: I think I won't buy HP's printer anymore.
  • Pros: USB line is way too short(you have to put your laptop so close to the printer), although this printer is wireless
  • Cons: I don't know what the reason is, but I can't install the driver . the appearance is good though.

Screen and wireless don't work

ER Wonder, Amazon
26 August 2009
  • Summary: I ordered this printer brand new. I started to set it up, and the screen stalled on the HP symbol and the buttons around the screen didn't work. I spent 45 minutes on HP technical support chat, during which they made me re-start the printer 8 different ways (turn it off with the button, then unplug...

Terrible paper handling right out of the box

lucidity, Amazon
26 August 2009
  • Summary: I had very high hopes when I bought this printer for my mother this Christmas. I've owned a long line of HP printers including several all-in-ones. One thing that I always felt set HP apart from the competition was their fantastic paper handling, if fact I've only had 10 or 12 jams in 20 years of...

On our 2nd one and it still doesn't work!!

Michael C. Clark, Amazon
26 August 2009
  • Summary: The main reason for purchasing this printer was it's high ranking and Mac compatibility. The wireless is also a nice feature. This is turning out to be the worst printer purchase I've ever made. The first printer arrived brand new. We got it set-up in about a half hour and all was good.
