Summary: I received this printer as part of an Apple rebate. The print and scan quality is fine, though ink is quite pricey. After using it for about 2 years for school related work, the printer developed the notorious restarting problem (Google "C4680 capacitor" and read the HP support forum for solution). The touchscreen is also intermittently unresponsive now, which I suspect to be related to the previously mentioned issue.
Excerpt: This is the second HP product I've owned, I bought it because it was on sale, and I was desparate for a printer. I feel that HP products are all much too complicated for me, as I am tech-challenged. They always come with multiple applications that I neither want nor use. I will never buy another HP product.
Excerpt: this printer is nice while it works...like a firecracker . i had mine just over a year and now the touchscreen is going wild on it to my expectations, i found talk of this on hp website but no help or ideas and complaints started from what i see around summer of last year dont buy this product
Excerpt: The Hp All-in-One 4680 is not a bad printer, but I would not have purchased it for myself (gift). The picture quality is good, but it's slow and uses way too much ink. Not bad , but I would never buy one.
Excerpt: The quality of printing with this printer is very good, especially considering that the price was only around $80 - and I got a rebate as well. However, the paper feed is very bad. I returned the first one I had, as it wouldn't feed at all. The replacement was only slightly better. I should have returned it as well, but now it is too late. I don't know if they are all like that, but it's extremely frustrating.
Excerpt: I feel compelled to tell readers how much i loathe this printer. I have never had such hatred for a printer. I bought this printer a couple years ago at Best Buy and was pleased with all that it seemed to offer. Scanning- Printing Quality Photos etc. Everything was fine at first and I was excited about having this printer until not long after I got it- the ink ran out and I replaced it and used it a little more and the ink ran out and so on and so forth.
Excerpt: As my title says, I have had three HP printers fail on me in one year. As you may guess, I no longer use HP printers anymore. This HP Photosmart C4680 sounds great on paper: It prints fast, is an All-in-One injet printer that does a lot more than printing, the quality of the print and copy is good etc. But, what good is all of these features if it is not reliable? The manufacturer's claims are meaningless if one cannot even get the printer to work correctly.
Excerpt: I haven't used it on anything photo-related, so my review might be biased. I just need something simple for a student workload, and this was the only printer available at the store I went shopping at. At first I was literally amazed at how fast it printed! However, "if it's too good to be true..." This is the only printer I've ever had that jams literally every other time I use it.
Summary: It's a decent all-in-one when it works. After several uses, it begin experience difficulty booting up. Press the on botton, it beeps and beeps. You guessed it, beeped some more. You've to trick it (by opening the ink cover), in order to get it fully turned on.
Summary: I just want to say that this printer has while effectively printing, has never effectively scanned for us. Thus, it is not worth the money paid for an "all-in-one" printer. We bought it since I am an online student and we are both military so we regularly need to be sending things long distances and don't want to have to go to FedEx on a near daily basis but that has not worked out for us.
