Summary: I have had this printer for about a year and a half. In the last couple of months, it has taken on a life of its own. When it is turned on, it continuously cycles through scanning and/or copying and then printing out papers that have faint boxes on them.
Summary: We've owned this printer for less than two years. I'm giving it 2 stars instead of 1 because while it was working, I was happy with the ease of use, print quality, etc. Then one day, without warning, it just stopped working.
Summary: Although it is a good printer, do not buy it in case you want to scan anything. It just won't do it. I searched on the internet and I saw other people experiencing the same problem as I did. Spent a little more money and buy something more reliable.
Summary: I've spent the last couple hours trying to get this thing to scan in OS X with no luck. Reinstalled the software, rebooted the computer, restarted the printer, etc. I tried scanning from the software menu and from the printer's own interface. Errors. Bad software, HP.
Summary: It's a decent all-in-one when it works. After several uses, it begin experience difficulty booting up. Press the on botton, it beeps and beeps. You guessed it, beeped some more. You've to trick it (by opening the ink cover), in order to get it fully turned on.
Summary: I have a older model HP computer (approx. 5 years old) using XP . The software is not compatible and you will not be able to use the scanner, Continuous errors. I have spent 10 hrs on the phone with HP tech support trying to resolves this issue with no luck (yes even HP can't figure it out).
Summary: Since the second day I've owned it, it will not grab the paper to print and says it's out of paper. I have to hand feed the tray. There is only one roller that grabs the paper and it seem that roller either got dirty or just doesn't work correctly. I've tried cleaning the printer, but to no avail.
Summary: I bought this a year ago with a Macbook Pro. It's great WHEN IT WORKS, which is rarely. It says "sending printing data" and then it often simply fails to print. Sometimes it decides to kick in hours later, unprompted, and when I come back I find a printed document.
Summary: The driver has a stupid bug that surfaced when I upgraded my OS from VISTA to windows7. I updated my drivers a dozen different ways, all resulted in the same scan error. Work-around, (stupid) open your interned browser and link to [...] Now the scanner will work. HP tech support was no help.
