Summary: i'm on a mac and have continual trouble with the drivers going in and out. sometimes it will work. sometimes it won't. sometimes it works wirelessly. sometimes you have to plug-it in to your computer. the printer function is the best. if you are interested in just a printer, it's a reasonable option and worth considering for the price. that said, the scanner function is poor. the interface is awkward and counter-intuitive.

Summary: Likes: Wireless setup was a breeze, print quality is great. Dislikes: We bought one and it had a problem. HP sent us a "new" one as a replacement (refurb) and it too is now broken, complaining of a paper jam that isn't there. We don't print very often in my house and the problem did not surface until the warranty was out, which for a refurb is only 90 days. So now we're stuck with this piece of junk, out 80 bucks, and can't print anything.
Summary: This product was sent to us with a faulty power supply. Also, the HP tech support made us aware of a bug in it that causes the printer to go into sleep mode and stay there. After having a replacement printer and then a new power supply sent to us, the printer works fine. But, we cannot install the firmware that will ensure we never have a problem with the sleep mode.
Summary: While I haven't yet had any problems with the printer itself, Photosmart Essential 3.0, the softwear that comes with it is stunningly bad. The softwear makes the printer nearly impossible to use to print photos. This softwear is doubly disappointing when compared with what came with their old printers. A definite down-grade. The photo editing options are rediculously limited.
Summary: I'm sorry to be so negative but I purposely searched for an area to write this review. This is my first review of ANY product and I do not intend to make this a hobby. This printer frustrates me so that I am determined to warn others. I bought it via my employer to use in my home office. I need to copy, print and scan. The wireless capability was the reason I chose this one for the money.
Summary: This printer has been frustrating from the get go. Luckily for us, though, when we bought our mac, they were running a deal that we got this printer free with a rebate. So, for free, I can't complain too much. The problem is sometimes it works great and sometimes it hangs up like crazy. I recommend that you put it somewhere where the plug is easily accessible because you will have to unplug it and plug it back in nine times out of ten before you can get it to print.
Summary: The lockup problem, others have reported with this printer, is real and as of, 2/13/2009 unresolved. The quality of the printing is admittedly very good, but if you intend to use this on a wireless network; don't consider it. It will periodically lock up and can only be cleared by canceling the print queue, walking over to the printer, pulling the power cord out, and reinserting it.
Summary: This product may have been good, but the printer that I recieved is not working correctly. I can not get the on/ off button to work.I was very disappointed. It has a wireless link, but could not get this on either. I had to spend my spare time with Hp support (They were great by the way.) Anyway this printer would not work correctly. I think if it had worked it would have been a good printer for the money.
Summary: I bought this printer for several reasons. It is wireless, its all in one, small size and it is a HP. Let me say first the size and print quality is great. The wireless connecting is awful. Setup with Vista was no problem but I had trouble maintaining the wireless connection. The sleep feature caused all kinds of problems. I'd lose my connection to the wireless internet router which the printer was not connected to. You can not adjust or disable the sleep feature.
