Summary: Forget the printer, and let's focus on the software. It sucks... more than the printer does. The software is painfully slow, not very intuitive, and not always willing to communicate with my computer. I've done the whole update/reinstall routine. Also, I have a pretty powerful PC.
Summary: We purchased this printer for the Fax as well as printing combination. Everything seemed to be working, we received faxes and we were able to print from our computer. The very first time we tried to fax a report or scan one, it would not work.
Summary: I've owned one of these for a little over 4 years now. It was purchased to replace a Brother printer that just could not understand the concept of the color red. At first the C410a performed very well. It made excellent scans, printed accurate photos, and never jammed or had other strange issues.
Summary: While I do like the printer a lot, the scanner works, the copier works, it's quick, it's quiet, it prints wonderfully, THIS USES WHAT HP HAS BECOME KNOWN FOR, BAD CARTRIDGES!!! I don't print a whole lot, but the cartridges this takes do not live up to their specs!
Summary: I bought this printer in March and at first I loved it. Even though it kept falling off of the network (connected to router by Ethernet cable) and had to be re-added. Then, in August, only 5 months later, it woke up in the morning with a screw--a Torx screw, mind you--sitting in the paper feed tray.
Summary: I am on my second C410a. The first one would not connect to the phone line to send faxes. The second one worked fine for 2 months then refused to complete scans either from the PC or from the printer control pannel. It gets parially done and hangs.
Summary: I've been really happy with all the features of this printer except the printing. Any time I try to print out a color page it requires yet another ink cartridge, and even when all the ink supplies are full, the quality of the picture is crap.
