Summary: My C410a literally drinks ink. I have to constantly clean the print heads, which consumes even greater amounts of ink. It will not accept refilled/remanufactured/generic cartridges at all. At nearly 2 years since the date of purchase I received the error message that the "cartridges cannot align" and I can no longer print in black. Replacement printhead costs 75. I have been very disappointed with this printer since the day that I bought it.
Summary: My HP printers have never lasted more than 3 years. The C410a literally guzzles ink. I had to constantly clean the print heads, which consumes even greater amounts of ink. Almost three years to the date of purchase I received the error message that the "cartridges cannot align". I looked for a replacement printhead and found thast a rebuild costs $50 and a new one costs $80. I have other printers, (Canon and Brother), that give me far less trouble and use less ink.
Summary: I have been very disappointed with this printer since the day that I bought it. Printing from a Mac - you need to make sure you laptop stays connected, otherwise the print will stop. Had to disable UPnP on the printer - as it was freezing up since the HDHomeRun Prime apparently interfered with whatever address this Printer is using.
Summary: the printer was out of warranty when I purchased it so i was not able to gain any tech support on an out dated machine. Hired a technician to install it but was still unsuccessful in getting the maching to work the package it shipped in had been shipped to several other locations previously I am grateful that they took the printer back and that my monies should be refunded from my visa card The price was good for the machine but since it didn't work the machine had no...
Summary: I like many other was seduced by the fact that this machines promises to do it all: print, scan, copy, and fax. In actuality it gives me headaches, wastes my time, and makes me want to cry. Faxing documents of 1-5 pages is massive pain. The feed tray is poorly designed, so paper dosen't feed into the fax properly even for 1 page documents. That often means I have to fax the same page 2-3 times.
Summary: Horrible printer. Horrible HP support. This printer is the one that changed me from a die-hard HP consumer to a never again in my life purchase a HP consumer. I had read the reviews and still purchased this printer believing HP could not make a printer as bad as the reviews but I was wrong. Advice to anyone considering this purchase. DON'T do it. Moving on to a Brother.
Pros: it offers many options
Cons: horrible wireless printer, continuously "disappears" from printer folder, the only fix is to uninstall all software & reinstall, this is the fix given by HP support, scan option from pc quit working and was never able to fixed
Summary: Horrible printer. I've always been a HP die-hard customer. Although I read no so good reviews before I purchased it I did not believe an HP printer could be so bad. This printer although prints well does not work properly for all functions. I print wirelessly less than 4' and have had nothing but trouble with this printer.
Summary: This thing eats up toner and even if you refil your cartridges yourself it is stil ridiculously expensive. Don't get if you expect to do much color printing. It is very slow. The stats on speed must be from when it starts to print, not from when you click the print button-- it goes through all sorts of warm up, preparation, check the oil, call grandma, then starts printing. The interface with my Mac has crashed and I have had to reinstall the driver.
Summary: Bought a new one of these and paid almost $300.00 and it had to be replaced within 6 months. HP said they couldn't repair it at all and I would have to buy a new one. The replacement one after a year has decided not to work either now (ink system failure). I will never buy another HP product.
