I LOVE this printer! Best I've used!
1 April 2013
Summary: I bought this the other day to replace the same style printer that somehow spit out a vital part and thus isn't working. The main reason I chose to re-purchase the same machine is that this one has been incredibly reliable and efficient. It's quiet, it's quick, nice clean print -- what more can you ask of a printer? My late husband and I have used Dell, Epson, and other printers -- this little HP can run circles around them all.
Summary: This all in one is for the home user who just wants to print pictures ( slots on the chassis to do this), print papers for school or home office and scan frequently. The ink is the least expensive HP offers. It does t do well with aftermarket inks, the prints come out with a smudged look at times. This is the best printer for the money.
Summary: Love the scanning abilities of this unit. The software helps complete the package and use. Great product and uses low ink compared to other ink jets. The cost of black ink is around $20 and can carry you through at least 2 reams of paper. Not compact in size, but still manageable. Great product for student dorms rooms, personal copy and print as well as scanning needs. Also photo ready and has built in SD card slots.
Summary: Very nice printer.Easy to use.I was a little skeptical about purchasing sight unseen but, my fears were unfounded. Not only was the printer in like new condition,it was easy to use and figure out all it did even without a manual. I would definitely recommend this product to anyone. It also uses easy to find ink(not some obscure)product. The copies are as nice as ones from a more expensive printer.
Pros: -printed 120 + pages easily in black only -Mine's a used one my old friend had and IS LINUX-COMPATIBLE! -Scanning features are amazing. -It can fax online if you find the right programs ;D -It's good enough for my small web design business!!!
Cons: -Intuitive for slightly technically inclined.
Summary: Love this printer, bought a few back when I used only Windows XP and 2000, but when I upgraded to Windows 7 and tried to install in on new pc it froze my new pc and got a blue screen, had to do some fancy footwork to get pc running again. My fault, I should have known better. Still, I love it when used with XP or earlier and that's why I give it 5 stars (it was not made to be compatible with Windows 7). Also, wish HP would lower the price on their inks.
