Summary: I got this scanner/printer/copier last year for Christmas and it's been nothing but great. It's not intended for heavy use. Once in a while I make a few copies with it. You can select the copy quality, and that will determine how much ink the machine uses per page. The scanner is adequate for "light" use. It's a little on the slow side compared to our big machine at work, but I don't need anything more than this for scanning a few photos now and then.
Excerpt: I came into the computer age late in life as I lived on a sailing boat for 15years and did not want to risk having expensive electronic equipment in a damp and salty atmosphere where every inch of space has to be used with care. When we finally came ashore we had a computer stack made for us at the local computer shop, of very basic equipment and he suggested that we bouhght the HP photosmart to go with it.
After 2 years my printer is still going strong, hasn't broken down once!

Excerpt: I have had this printer for a couple of years now and it has proved itself to be great value for money and very reliable. I initially bought the printer because it was on offer. I think I paid about £50 at the time. I'd had good experience of HP products in the past so I was confident it would do the job. First of all it is a nice looking bit of equipment. It is grey and white and glossy all over with a fold up paper tray so you can keep it neatly stored away.
Very good value for money, and has lasted very well with no problems.

Excerpt: A very versatile, and reliable printer, so much so we have two, one for university, one for home, thus indicating how many tasks it can be adapted for. The variable print quality setting is useful, especially for when you want to reduce the amount of ink you use, especially if the document doesn't have to be perfect. The quality of pictures, and richness of colour is also very, very good.
Good reliable printer, that I would recommend to someone needing a multi-purpose printer.

Excerpt: We've never had the best of luck with printers in our household. I personally put this down to the simple fact that we always end up buying the cheapest option, and hence the quality of the product that we end up using is often well below par. So when my paps brought this one home because it was going cheap at Argos, I feared that once again the next few months of printing pages would become quite a chore.
Excerpt: The HP Photosmart C 3180 is excellent value for money. It is easy to use and the copies are a good quality. The operation is easy to follow for photocopying. The colour is a good quality. The paper feed is excellent and has not caused me any problems. I have some reservations about the scanning operation which sometimes can be a little dodgy.
Excerpt: I have had my hp photo smart for about 3 years now and it has proved to be quite reliable, when i first got it, it came with ink and all the software and cables i needed. It was very easy to install and once you've got it up and running its great. It is pretty quiet when it is printing which is a good thing as some printers can be extremely noisy, if your not a heavy user your ink should last you quite a long time.
Excerpt: The HP Photosmart All-in-one, I think represents exceptional value for money. I got a free digital digital amera with mine which is excellent as well. It is very light in weight compared to other all in ones which is brilliant for me as I use it with my laptop and tend to move the printer around the house. The 3 functions are all very easy to use and the control panel on the top of the printer is very user friendly.
Excerpt: I am a student so as you can see I need a printer which can do anything i need. Well this printer is excellent for me. It is a scanner, a copier and a printer. With this printer i do everything. I also print photos and the come out really good. It doesn't run out of ink that easy either. I have had this printer for a year and a half and also a friend of mine has it for a year now. And it never broke down on us. I installed this printer myself and it was very easy.
Pros: Never broke down, good looks, pretty good quality
