Not a printer, just a piece of junk

KVG1, Amazon
23 December 2014
  • Summary: I am an IT professional who has been in the IT industry since 1994. This C310a printer is garbage. I bought it brand new and not refurbed. It constantly loses connection to our wifi when all other wifi devices are not having issues at all. New PCs and laptops required a PhD to connect them to this printer.

Very poor printer. Approximately 6-7 5x7 photos per color cartridge

Michael Bargeron, Amazon
19 December 2014
  • Summary: Very poor printer. Approximately 6-7 5x7 photos per color cartridge. Maybe twice that for B & W pages. Looks good on paper, but AirPrint never works. Each time printer goes to sleep you have to re install to get it to work again. After 1 year died anyway. Would not power up.

Wanted to give zero stars.

VINCENT A SIMON, Amazon
1 November 2014
  • Summary: Can not get rid of error messages that say one or more ink cartridges are missing or damaged. They are either new or not missing. I've replaced them all now (at about $20 each) and still get the message. Unable to use printer............ Do not buy HP printers. My next one (Monday morning) will not be an HP.

A Terd could print better than this thing.

E. F. Mcdougal, Amazon
24 September 2014
  • Summary: WORST PRINTER EVER. PERIOD. You'll be able to print *maybe* 4 photos before needing to buy overpriced expensive as hell ink again. My 5th grader could've built a better printer. Constantly breaks. Turns off during printing and tells me i shut it down improperly. Loaded with advertising and useless functions and can't find anything you buy a printer for in first place. I could've literally built a printer out of a terd that would work better than this.

Thank goodness my office is on the second floor as I am going to take a great deal of pleasure in dropping this lousy piece of .

C. Crouch "Manx Kitten", Amazon
19 September 2014
  • Summary: It hurts me to even have to give this printer 1 star. After fighting with it for over a year and I do mean fighting, I am through. HP customer service is a blatant misnomer as it is none existent. Thank goodness my office is on the second floor as I am going to take a great deal of pleasure in dropping this lousy piece of junk out of the window.

Will not last

Stephen Daley, Amazon
18 August 2014
  • Summary: Awful printer. Worked great to start, now won't stay turned on (Now I can't get it back on). Lucky I have a backup. Tons of people are having the same problem and HP will not help unless its under warranty. I should not have to buy a printer every year because they quit working. Dont waste your time and money. Look at another brand.

Large paperweight

tom cooper, Amazon
20 July 2014
  • Summary: Wish I had read the review on here before I bought this awful machine... err... large paperweight as it were. I will say that reading these hilarious reviews has been cathartic as I try to figure out how I'm supposed to print and scan a document I promised to send tonight with this "printer.

Fatal Design Flaws

Elderghod "Alex", Amazon
15 July 2014
  • Summary: Unfortunately, The HP Photosmart Premium C310a printer has a fatal flaw in it's design and HP has never stepped forward to set it right and stand by their customers. The problem occurs when one of the expensive ink cartridges gets low. Of course, the onboard software informs the user of the low ink, but most users (knowing how expensive those cartridges are) will try to squeeze out every last drop.
