Summary: This will only copy and scan using the automatic feeder. Since you cannot copy or scan directly off the glass, it means you can't copy a page from a book or magazine or an invoice along with a check, for example. It also has a voracious appetite for ink.
Summary: Decent printer (only just). Nothing to write home about. LCD screen is all cluttered up with stupind apps and no way to delete them without jumping thru a million hoops. It is definitly an ink hog. Very noisy and goes thru some frenzy after you print something. I would not purchase this again, as HP is too much into your business with this item. Hope it craps out so I can trash it!
Excerpt: The photo quality in this"photosmart" is disappointing. I get better quality from my old HP 7960 photosmart. When I questioned the photo quality, I was told to go on HP website to install updates. Nobody ever mention when when I purchased the printer. Fax and print work great. Scan to computer is complicated. Photo quality is still below expectations.
Excerpt: after my HP Printer quit, I got an EPSON XP850 that quit 3-months later and the refurbished replacement quit after a week so I got this HP7520 which does quite well BUT, darn it, it takes over my computer (WIN-XP-based) such that, when turned-on, it slows down general computer operation and, won't listen to turn-off command until I turn printer OFF and disconnect USB plug. So, when working, does as I wish but,m otherwise, its a pain-in-the-butt.
