Summary: The box says e-all-in-One. Features list Wireless and Fax capability. What it doesn't say is the wireless doesn't apply to the fax. You need to be use a phone jack that's close to the printer. I don't have a land line in the room. We rely on our cellular phones. The 7510 provided eFax.
Excerpt: I had owned a HP Photosmart 7520 e-All-In-One-Printer by HP for 18 months before it decided it would not work anymore. Since I was already acquainted with how to use this I went to Staples and bought another one. From day one I had terrible problems with it, could not get it to work (despite having paid for it to be readied by the staff at Staples before taking it home). I am glad I purchased the agreement so I could get this NEW machine fixed.
Summary: I had totally underestimated this Printer. The machine does everything You want, and then, does other things that just make it even better! The Quality is Superb! The features are easy to use, the touch screen is simple and easy to use for anyone.
Summary: I've had several PhotoSmart printers over the years and I was excited to get the latest printer. The print quality is good but the 7520 runs out of ink too quick. The cartridges are the same cost as many others from HP but don't yield as much. Since purchasing my last set of cartridges, I've printed 38 pages (mostly legal documents) and my black cartridge is depleted. Color printing is even worse.
Summary: the 7520 does not have the ability to scan to a searchable pdf. My 7 year old 3210 xi photosmart had that choice. I was told by HP customer service that that feature was discontinued as a cost saving measure to avoid the licensing costs from the ocr software supplier. They also said that the searchable files are bigger than the regular pdf. That should be a choice that the user makes, not HP. Other than that, it is a great printer.
