Summary: Bad purchase. If I had to do it over again, I wouldn't buy. It's not user friendly and I've had trouble with it ever since purchase. My older HP printers were great, but now I'll probably never purchase HP again.
Summary: My Photosmart 6510 died just after printing my Christmas cards this year. It no longer prints anything but baby blue. I've run the gamut of solutions suggested on the internet, but it looks like it has completely died. I've had it exactly three years. I have had no problems with it except for the fact that it seems to have increased the rate that it goes through ink. The money you save on the printer you make up in spades on buying ink.
Can't live without one, can't live with one either!

Summary: I won't bore you with a diatribe about printers in general, but this one is barely functional at best. The good: 1) It does copy, scan & fax fairly well. 2) when it's in the right mood it will actually print a decent looking document or photo. The bad: 1) I don't think it's been in a good mood since it blasted through it's first set of printer cartridges.
Summary: I purchased this product a couple of years ago. When we got it, set it up w Mac desktop and IPad for wireless printing easy no problem. However, the main reason for it was my laptop for school work (dell) and it would not setup to print wirelessly. Despite hours upon hours of time on the phone with both hp and dell tech support. Neither of which could figure it out.
Summary: Bought the Photosmart 6510 printer August 2012 and not long afterwards started having a problem with it making extra copies. I'd have to turn it off to stop doing it but then when I'd turn it back on it would continue making more. Then when I went to change the black ink cartridge a few weeks ago I couldn't get the cartridge access door to open. I returned it to Staples and HP sent them a replacement which came in a couple of days later.
Summary: I guess my title says it all: The setup was not user-friendly. You had to make progress in setting it up mostly by trial and error and, in my case, two calls to HP Tech Support. Tech support was very user-friendly. Why they couldn't have built that quality into their set-up screens is beyond me. And forget about the worthless instruction manual which, in three languages, essentially sends you back to the set-up screen on the printer.
Summary: This was easy to set-up & seems to have all the bells & whistles; however, it is not really an All-in-One printer as it cannot scan anything larger than its glass size which is under 12". If you need to scan legal paper documents, this is not the printer to choose. This is a misnomer and has a misleading name.
Summary: I'm generally happy with purchases on Amazon, but it's frustrating to find the same printer purchased for $119.99 in my local sunday ads @ $89.99 and now on Amazon for the SAME lower price. I understand that sometimes the manufacturer has price drops or deals that Amazon cannot predict, but it definitely makes me think twice before purchasing on here again. Overall, I'm happy with the printer.
Summary: After having my previous Photosmart printer for about two years it developed print head problems that no amount of cleaning or replacement of ink cartridges could resolve. Therefore I was a little reluctant to buy this newer model HP6510. I did have good luck setting up the HP printers on my wireless previously so I decided to give HP one last chance. I have been disappointed in the HP6510.
