Summary: This printer worked beautifully for two years, that's why I gave it two stars. Lovely colors, though the ink doesn't last long. At two years & three months, it stopped printing black. I spent a lot of time online to find a fix -- evidently the small HP Photosmarts are famous for this.

Summary: Have had this printer since March 2012 and now it is a piece of junk. Copy doesn't work anymore...just scan. Black ink problem and have cleaned printer head multiple times and done alignment multiple times but still no printing on the copy mode.

Summary: the printer is good, but the inkjet catridge is HP's black side trick, everytime I had not printed some pages, the printer stopped to function and told me that the ink is empty and I needed to replace it. I have stopped using HP printers and changed to use Brother.

Summary: I really loved this printer for the first year or so that I owned it. The WiFi capability was really handy and I thought the photo quality was good. However, like many, many people on the HP support forums, at some point after the warranty was up, the printer completely quit printing black ink.

Summary: I bought this printer based on positive reviews on Consumer Reports and elsewhere. Despite the ink being very expensive ($50 for full set) and seeming to run out frequently despite not a lot of use, it has worked well as a wireless printer.
Summary: The current Photosmart has just quit printing b/w text and is the second one to last less than 2 years. Color prints are very good quality, but text is almost unreadable because of missing lines of ink. I am looking for an alternative and it won't be HP
Summary: Do yourself a favor and Google this printer with a "not printing black" problem. You will be suprised at how common it is. Looks like this HP has a printhead problem. I have used this printer for a couple of years, standard home use. Now it 's useless.
