Summary: This thing is a piece of crap. After my prior printer was stolen, my insurance company suggested this as a replacement, and sadly, I agreed. As others are saying, it offers only mediocre print quality while swallowing ridiculous amounts of expensive black ink.
Summary: I bought this at the Nebraska furniture mart. They said it was great at photo printing. It wasn't. I stopped printing my own photos because the quality was so s***ty. My old HP printer with 02 ink was amazing.
Summary: Check out HP customer site before you buy. Can't believe the good reviews here and at BB. I wonder how many reviewers actually tried printing 4x6 from the photo tray from computer.
Pros: Nice features in theory. Easy setup and connection to wireless or USB (tried both). Local touch screen easy to navigate. Average color printing.
Cons: MAJOR - will not print 4x6 from the 4x6 photo paper tray from the computer (Win 7) - prints the 4x6 onto the letter tray instead. At least four other customers on HP site complained of same problem since Jan 2012, and still no fix from HP. Other problems - I did an download update from HP site, a...
Summary: I've had this printer for less than 9 months, and Always had problems with it jamming. I can never load more than a dozen or so sheets of paper or it jams and now nothing will go through the rollers.
Summary: You get what you pay for. This is an inexpensive printer, but that is what you get. The print quality is good and it allows you to load 2 different sizes of paper. It is very noisy, the low ink alerts are useless. First of all, the alert does not display consistently.
Summary: Bought the 6510 in March 2012. Great wireless printer. Beautiful picture prints, connects with my wireless Windows 7 laptop, my iPad, and two iPhones beautifully! I love the simplicity. Had a lot of trouble getting the scanner to work wirelessly. After many hours on the phone with HP etc.
Summary: I had to purchase another printer because my previous HP suddenly showed a message that said the "printhead is incompatible" even though I had the printer for 3 years without a problem! I bought the HP 6510 All-In-One thinking it would be an upgrade from my previous HP printer. I was wrong!
Summary: Expensive printer! In a mere 2 months you will be replacing cartridges. I am correcting this post to say you Can print in Black only. From the reviewer Jack, I am posting his steps and they work. 1. On your computer, Click on Print. 2. Click Properties box. 3. Click on Paper/Quality tab. 4.
Summary: I bought the HP 6510 Photosmart printer in February 2012, it no longer prints black. About a week ago I replaced the black cartridge, again, and after this it would not perform the cartridge alignment properly and would not print in black at all.
