Summary: Quite simply, it worked great until it didn't work at all. Got less than two years out of it before the black printing head went dead. Spent a couple of hours on forums trying different official hp and user suggested solutions. Nothing worked. Cartridges are pretty pricey, too.
Summary: after I got the printer I got the wireless router and tried to run the printer wireless. It says it is wireless on the setup, but it wont print. I get the up grades from HP and I cant load them also after calling them, they also couldn't get it to run wireless and they can't tell me why, so I have it running with it plugged in, I am not happy and don't know what to do about it. Not happy with the printer or the company.
Excerpt: Although I like the printer, especially the front and back printing function, it blows through too much ink too quickly. I have it set on the Draft setting and it still goes through ink. For that reason alone, I would not recommend it.
Excerpt: It's pretty slow. The actual print time isn't slow, but before and after is slow. When I print, it seems to take a bit to actually start printing. It runs back and forth several times before it actually prints. Same thing when it's done. It gets on my nerves it runs so much after it prints. Also, it's noisy. Not a quiet printer. Otherwise it'd be great. The e-print feature is pretty nice. It was really easy to setup.
Excerpt: I bought this printer as a birthday gift for my 18 year old son who was going off to college. He got to school, went to set it up, and discovered that there was NO printer cable included. He has yet to be able to use it. Which is very disappointing.
Excerpt: I bought this printer for its stand alone services so I could print photos on-site at an event. The photos, shot in large format, worked fine until the card reader failed in the middle of a print. Had to RESTART printer before printing each 5x7 print. Photo fix touches didn't improve much and didn't add richness to color. Not good for on-the-spot, quick production.
Pros: Easy To Set Up, Fast Print Time, Low Ink Consumption
Excerpt: This printer is small, sleek, and elegant, and all my past HP products were magnificent. However, this one is not. It is not for anyone looking to print multiple copies of anything, nor someone who needs to print quickly via wireless network. The tiny ink cartridges would die ridiculously fast. Also, the print quality was not that great.
Pros: Compact Design
Cons: Hard Setup, Hard To Use, Too much ink used, Unreliable
