Summary: My 6510 jammed which caused the plastic holding the paper feed gear mechanism to break. There's no fix for this as the unit was made to replace, not repair. This is my second HP printer both which have now failed. I'm of the belief that most $200 and below printers are simply throw away after the warranty period. If you're lucky it will break while in warranty.
Summary: I really wish I had read the reviews before buying this--I've had it less than a year and it stopped printing in black ink, and now doesn't print at all. And this is after i went out and bought new ink because I thought it was because my ink was low. Don't waste your money on this piece of junk.
Do not purchase without at least a 3 year warranty

Summary: Do Not Buy!!! i repeat DO NOT BUY!! Yes, it works great for a while but the black ink print head WILL CLOG UP. It is NOT user serviceable. Try googling MY 6510 WONT PRINT BLACK and see the sea of frustrated owners and HORRIBLE HP customer support/online forum support.
I was willing to deal with the cost as long as the prints were nice. Then things went from bad to worse

Summary: PLEASE DO NOT BUY THIS PRINTER!!! We bought this locally just over a year ago. According to my print page I have only printed 982 pages. I have replaced all the cartridges 4 times. At $13 for 4 cartridges, that is 21 cents a page! I was willing to deal with the cost as long as the prints were nice. Then things went from bad to worse. Like many others, I found that right after the warranty expired the printer stopped printing black ink.
Black ink stopped working. Breaks just after warranty

Summary: Started out great with great reviews when I searched it almost 2 years ago. Now, my black stopped printing all of a sudden and all I can find are complaints about how common it is and HP has NO SOLUTION for it except buy a new one! When I mean common, I mean EXTREMELY! People have problems right after the 1 year is up and HP customer service is horrible. I'm so sick of talking to foreigners who can't speak English and can only read from a screen as to how to fix it.
Enjoy it while it lasts - black ink will eventually stop working

Summary: Have owned this printer for about 2 years now, and now the black ink has stopped working (a very very common problem - just google around). I bought a new black ink cartridge (didn't work; out that money now). I cleaned the printer heads (didn't work). I did the deep clean of the printer heads (somewhat hidden feature in software utility; still didn't work). Verified the cartridge is ventilated (it is).
Summary: Nice machine until it quit printing black. I followed HP's troubleshooting instructions and replaced all ink cartridges with new. Still won't print black after I spent $$s for new cartridges. I'm out that money and need to purchase a new printer. Won't buy another one of these.
... it about a year and it blows through ink like no printer I've ever owned

Summary: I've had it about a year and it blows through ink like no printer I've ever owned. And all I've owned were HP. This thing drinks black like it's going out of style. We need a printer for my wifes home office and this printer will NOT be used for it.My God! she'd need to make 100,000.00 a year just to offset the ink costs! Plus, the damn thing quit printing black after installing a new HP 564 black cartridge. Don't waste your money on this thing.
Stops printing black after 4 or 5 cartridge changes.

Summary: This printer was great for about a year. Prints from iPad, iPhones, Kindles. Then one day it just stopped printing black. No change after installing a new cartridge (original HP). Went through multiple print head cleaning cycles using the utilities on the front panel. After reading this was a common problem I tried all the different fixes others had (different drivers, cleaning print heads with alcohol, hot water, etc...,but to no avail.
The printer prints out blank pages. Ink cartridges overpriced.

Summary: I had this printer for two years and this is the worst piece of crap I have ever owned. I wasted 2 new black ink cartridges and the pages came out blank. From the first day there were paper jams. I could see why HP is going downhill fast.
