Would rather get probed by an alien than use this thing one more time.

Summary: This thing is a steaming, fetid pile of crap. The wireless works great, but otherwise, it is cheaply made of cheap plastic parts and it refuses to pick up to load anything but regular paper. For hobby purposes or printing photos - forget it. It won't load ANYTHING without a tremendous amount of trouble. I've just spent about an hour trying to print a photo onto 8 1/2 x 11 paper and have tried three different types of photo paper. No luck.
Summary: I got this printer and now H-P, industry giant, has gotten so greedy, all they provide for are four tiny half inch wide puny ink cartridges. I will be keeping this printer wired, because once I hooked my old c5800 up wireless, it sent information to H-P so that the local ink store's cheaper, recycled generic cartridges would not work anymore. No thanks. If I have to live with the piddly little cartridges, then buster, they are going to be of my choosing.
Summary: I have only had this thing for a week, so we shall see how it holds up. I wish I'd read the reviews before purchasing though as it's incredibly loud. It chirps and coughs and rattles and grunts for a good 30 seconds after you turn it on and again before printing anything. Then the printing itself is loud enough I can't hear someone speaking to me from 10 feet away. Ridiculous. My last printer was 10 years old and it wasn't that loud.
Cons: NOISY! Really noisy. Just got worse as time went on, as did everything else. Kept saying it was out of paper every other page even when the tray had plenty in there (or just a few sheets, I thought for a moment it was too full but that wasn't it), paper jams started happening when it did print, pages came out crinkled, I could go on. And Airprint never worked right.
Summary: Everything was fine through the starter ink (almost 3 months). Setup was pretty easy (4 computers, 2 laptops, 2 iphones), ePrint, etc. Only had one paper jam when the wife tried to load new paper WHILE it was printing! (that'll do it) Then I ordered ink one night (from HP, free shipping) at 10:30pm... got it next day! Great! Replaced the ink next day.
Summary: I bough the printer directly from HP and there it had a fair rating and I got a discount. So far I have successfully printed 1 page and paper got stuck 5-6 times. Even HPs Adhanced Photo paper gets stuck. Completely waste of money.
Summary: I did not do my homework on this printer and was surprised when i found that hp does not support my computer's os. I never had this happen to me before. If you have a very recent computer, say 2012 and above, then no worries. But if hp does not support older drivers for this printer, that means some or all of the features of the printer will not work unless you upgrade or patch your os.
Summary: The printer works fine but it keeps dropping the connection to my iPads,iPhones etc. I spent more than 20 hours working with HP techies and never solved the problem! Now each time I want to eprint I have to turn the printer off and then on again.
