Summary: We were happy with the speed of printing. Print quality was acceptable, not great. After about two weeks of low volume printing, the printer stopped printing with a message "Paper Jam". Followed the instructions to detect and clear the paper jam but there was no paper jam any where in the printer. The printer was bought from Staples who sent a technician to fix the problem. Technician also could not find jammed paper.
Summary: Overall, a pretty good printer. It's fast, print quality is good, it's quiet, and uses less power than my laser printer. I'm using the latest firmware (April 2014) but still occasionally experience a printer error where all the panel lights flash. Easy to fix by powering down and restarting. I recently tried to scan photos and found I could only set the resolution to 600 dpi.
Nice product, but HP update and customer tracking is annoying
Ace "Ace", Amazon

Summary: When looking for a new mfp, I did everything I could to avoid purchasing an HP. Their constant updates/notices, their requirement to create an account for every little need you may have, lack of qualified technical support (they force you to go to those useless "use forums") and their difficult-to-navigate website, all are a recipe for frustration. Although the product suits my needs, to me, customer service is as important as product performance.
Excerpt: paper through side tray is constantly jamming. prints & scans just fine. we print on multiple types of paper & would ideally like to use the side tray so as to avoid opening & closing the front tray constantly. I can't wait to get a new printer!
Summary: If you purchase this printer, you better be ready to do without customer service. Trying to contact HP with a question is almost impossible. The printer works fine. I have contacted many customer service representatives in the past. HP is the worst.
