Excerpt: Having purchased numerous printers(HP,Epson,Xerox,Canon, etc.)I have experienced success and disappointment in printer products. I had purchased this printer as a backup replacement for my office in the event that a current HP printer failed. Well that failure occurred this week.
Summary: This unit began malfunctioning just a few days after it was purchased. It is a cheaply made piece of gear that barely withstands shipping. Service from HP is deplorable as they only will swap out a used unit to replace a new unit.
If it doesn't work right out of the box, send it back
Winter in Fredburg "Charlie's Best Friend", Amazon
18 October 2014
Summary: This is the second high speed printer I have ordered in the last 10 days. My limit is to spend no more than 1 1/2 hours on set up, and if it isn't running perfectly by then, I box it up and send it back. Already sent the first one back. I am boxing this one up and sending it back too.
Summary: Just another piece of junk from HP. Stopped working all together after one year. I cant scan nor print. After FIVE HOURS trying to get this thing to work, I give up. Tried uninstalling and reinstalling, no help. HP has a few links to customer support...they go to pages that do not exist.
Excerpt: Worst Printer I have ever owned. Ink usage is good as is speed. However, color is inferior to laser. Always getting printbar jam or other negative notice. Also when doing a large job the printer grabs multiple pages at one time.
Nowhere near as good as laser - don't let the marketing fool you
21 June 2014
Summary: I was sold that this printer competes with laser in it's text and colour quality. I can assure you this is marketing hype. I ordered this printer twice. Once from PCNation (on Amazon), returned, and the second time through the HP website.
Summary: Although this machine's copy/print functions are great, there are issues with both the facsimile function and (now) the scan function. After being unable to get the facsimile to work (out of the box), I hired a tech person to come to my office to troubleshoot the facsimile function.
Not Professional, and the top feeder doesn't work.
T. Wolff "backrub", Amazon
14 March 2014
Summary: Just bought this, and right out of the box the feeder would give jam errors despite there being no paper caught inside. Troubleshot with HP, they offered to replace the top feeder unit, but also the printing was not professional quality.
