HP Officejet Pro L7780 Color All-in-One...

D. Staggs, Amazon
13 January 2015
  • Summary: Finally crapped out after nearly 6 years of daily use. Actually I think is is just a print head, but I can get a brand new HP for about $30 more. Overall this printer met my expectations and did what is was designed to do. I'd probably give it 3.5 stars realistically.

Highest quality for the small business owner or entrepreneur with heavy printing needs.

Sam Lockwood, Amazon
14 November 2014
  • Summary: I bought 2 of these printers at the same time. Now, more than 6 years later, I have this beast sitting on my desktop computer workstation. Absolutely the best printer I've every owned. Fast, reliable, and of course an all-in-one that can be configure to print wirelessly.

I Expected More for the Price

T. Salazar, Amazon
22 January 2012
  • Summary: Feedback after almost 4 years of using this product. PROS 1) The design is nice. 2) It prints quite fast. 3) Cartridges are about twice as big as the $50 printers. So, they last longer. 4) The scanning space is large. It can scan legal documents.

The Good, The Bad, The Ugly

Getfrushdotcom, Amazon

  • Summary: I purchased this printer a few years ago and overall, the experience hasn't been horrible. It's not the best either. I will say that dealing with the extended warranty company hasn't been the best either, but I'll try to keep that separate. The main issue is the paper jam.

Terrible HP Printer

Tabor, Amazon
27 September 2010
  • Summary: Of the several printers that I have purchased from HP over the years, this is the worst!! Don't buy it. My printer didn't work right out of the box. The printer head needed to be replaced. It ran endless self-tests.

Do not buy this printer

Melinda, pcRUSH.com
15 June 2010
  • Summary: Comments about HP Officejet Pro L7780 Multifunction Printer: Just google hp 7780 and you'll see the same thing over and over again. There are numerous problems - the most common being a printhead error message which disallows you from using it at all.
  • Cons: Unreliable

L7780 - Not Really Wireless - Will Not Scan

L. Kingsbury, Amazon
14 June 2010
  • Summary: Ok, so this thing does print and copy well at a reasonable speed. BUT, it is not wireless, it has never been wireless, in fact it will not even show up via an ethernet connection so I print through a USB. It will not scan properly if at all and I cannot make adjustments through the software.

Don't Buy - Only lasts a year, just out of warranty

Kokos, Amazon
20 May 2010
  • Summary: I thought I was a happy HP customer, having purchased for my small business 2 Officejet Pro L7000 series printers. However, both of them died a little over a year of light service with a message about the printhead.

Unreliable and Disappointing for HP

MP-HP unhappy, pcRUSH.com
30 April 2010
  • Summary: Comments about HP Officejet Pro L7780 Multifunction Printer: As a loyal HP buyer (100's of purchases) I was HIGHLY disappointed. It makes me rethink all of the HP products not just printers. Ink cost is unjustified. In addition it requires print heads. They are $50-$75 each and very unreliable.
  • Pros: Easy Setup
  • Cons: Flimsy Construction, Noisy, Slow Operation, Unreliable

Avoid This Disaster

Ohio Mom, Amazon
12 February 2010
  • Summary: I bought this machine two years ago and have had nothing but problems with it. Had problems getting it to go into power save mode - it randomly stays on with the scan light burning for no reason Device would always ask for a digital certificate - HP then camp up with this crazy 12+ step fix that...
