The printer itself functions properly, but I will not ...

Jaydepps, Amazon
3 September 2014
  • Summary: The printer itself functions properly, but I will not be buying any more HP products in the future. You are unable to print black ink only if you are low on any color ink. Not greyscale, if you go into the printers settings and choose "Black Ink Only", it disregards that for whatever reason and...

HP7680 All-In_One Printer Problems

Kenneth V. Puglia, Amazon
5 July 2014
  • Summary: I would recommend this printer only to masochists, i.e. people intent on experiencing the extreme frustration provided exclusively by printer software installation from HP. From the day I bought this all-in-one printer, it has been nothing but problems; beginning with the software installation and...

Nightmare in slow motion

corsairace, Amazon
31 March 2014
  • Summary: I takes a good ten minutes just to get this thing warmed up, clunking, clanking, banging, whirring. Then it tells me my ink is nearing the expiration date even though there's plenty left. Then it tells me to press button if I want to continue. I press button, still won't let me print.

Save your money

HP Disappoints, Amazon
30 November 2012
  • Summary: I HATE THIS PRINTER. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY ink is expensive and does not print as many pages as claimed (even when using low settings). Can't print in black and white or grayscale when the color cartidges are low or empty. You must buy the expensive HP cartiridges.

Buyer beware of HP scam. Intentionally designed to disable scanner and fax functions

Mike, Amazon
21 November 2012
  • Summary: This is a business All-In-One for scanning, faxing and printing. However I do not recommend relying on the fax or scanner for any critical business or personal use. The firmware on the printer is intentionally designed to disable scanner and fax functions if the printer encounters a problem with...

As "Taps" plays softly in the background...?

Free Spirit, Amazon
10 June 2012
  • Summary: Reading these reviews, I can't help but think of them as HP's online funeral. I didn't buy this same model, but another HP Officejet around the same time as the rest of these folks, and had basically their same experience.

Don't waste your money

Picartist "Pastalover2", Amazon
13 March 2012
  • Summary: Put simply I have two major issuesd: 1. Ink is dated and it will not let you use it past the date without a lot of cancels, retries, etc. I've read where it also will measure your usage by time rather than use so sometimes when it says you are out of ink, you are not. 2.

Had to replace after 3 years - So many problems with this printer

GS, Amazon
2 March 2012
  • Summary: I have owned many HP printers over the years and have never really had a problem with any of them. I bought this from my local Staples on a whim - I usually dont buy printers before researching but they had a special on the machine so I went for it.

Horrendous printer/scanner - avoid

VoraciousBuyer, Amazon
30 January 2012
  • Summary: Absolutely horrendous. Buggy software, expensive cartridges that are used up very fast, scanning gets aborted for no reason, the printer prints full color 'test pages' very often, I could go on forever. The worst out of 5 all-in-ones that I ever owned.
