Summary: I purchased it on Sep 2008 . Installed on a XP PC . It worked OK for almost one year (warranty period). Problem : It was eating the color cartridges even if you don’t print in color. Specifically the Yellow. It won't print black if one color cartridge is empty. These are not mentioned either in their ad’s nor in the machine data-sheet. Updating, it would hang-up throwing error messages mainly reporting that there was some existing software preventing the update.
Summary: The unit is a disaster. Uses ink cartridges like nothing else even when not used. Put in a new cartridge, leave it for 2 or 3 weeks and it needs a new one without even using the unit. Doesn't even print black when color cartridge is empty. This is NOT a PRO model!!!
Excerpt: The hp 7590 is a great small printer; ideal for a home office or even a smaller office if you're on a budget. It prints fast and also copies, scans and has faxing capability, all of which I've tested to make sure they work. The only drawback I've noticed so far is that it is not a quiet machine, which is the only reason I haven't given it 5 stars. The quality is excellent, even with using the draft/fast mode.
Excerpt: Ok, We purchased the Officejet L7590 because we have always owned HP printers and specifically all in one printers and we love the user friendliness of the HP printers/all in ones. We purchased the Officejet L7590 at Best Buy and at the time there was a $75.00 rebate on the machine which was very enticing.
HP L7590 is a great all-in-one small office printer.

Excerpt: Pros about this computer include it's printing clarity, printing speed, ease of changing print cartriges, and ease with which paper jams can be cleared. Cons incude it's large size, multi-page faxe malfunctioning, and use of print colors. I feel like I am always changing the cartriges on this printer. The ink is not cheap for this printer either and it can not be refilled at most refill service centers.

Excerpt: My Hewlett Packard OfficeJet Pro L7590 All-In-One InkJet Printer is the best printer I have owned. It is easy to use and set up. The print quality is wonderful, not only do I use it for all my regular printing jobs I use it to print pictures. The quality is wonderful. The ink cartridges are easy to change and are not expensive. The copier is also simple and gives you clear copies everytime.
The HP Officejet Pro L7590 to date is the best all-in-one

Excerpt: This all-in-one unit is the best unit I haved used to date. This printer is my fifth all-in-one and the thing I like most about it is ink usuage. The cartridge cost is similar to other printers but because there are four separate cartridges for black and color I get many more sheets of color printer than any other printer I have used to date. I have used this printer for more than one year and run about 500-800 sheets per month and have had zero problems.
Excerpt: In general I like HP printers and this one is no exception EXCEPT I recently discovered that the fax portion of it has a serious known defect that could affect one's ability to make or receive landline phone calls. The fax portion of the printer causes the display on both my fax and phone to show "Line in use" or "Phone off hook." This is a problem I've had for some time. I looked back at some notes I'd written when I first bought/installed the printer in 2008.
Excerpt: This would be a wonderful printer if it weren't for printheads. It takes two, and the black/yellow on mine wore out in six months. A friend who has the same printer had to replace his after 18 months. The printheads cost $73.00 each, and they need to be ordered online... at least that's the case with Office Depot where I purchased the printer.
