Not a reliable machine

freeportdmax, Ebay
6 October 2014
  • Summary: I bought this unit used. It was advertised as fully functional, but it does not duplex reliably. The seller credited me some of the purchase price, so I got a printer that "works" for simplex printing only. Not what I was looking for.

I have not been able to use it since I received it. Thank-you

  • Summary: Dear ebay, I bought it because I need an all in one printer. I like it because it has all the needs I like. However, I haven't been able to use it. It did not have the two head printers or the cord to connect to the wall. I have already written to you twice able the product. I would probably like it if I had all the parts. I had to go to Wall Mart and buy me a simple printer until you guys can get it to work for me. I would surely appreciate it. I await your respond.

Waste of money

valley63, CNET
2 May 2014
  • Summary: This is the most I've ever spent on a printer...and the most I've ever had to continue spending on a printer. The copies are good and its relatively easy to use. That said you have to be a 'trust fund baby' to be able to afford to feed the thing...and this after a lawsuit was filed against HP because of this printer and they sent a check for $75 for issues. It wasn't anywhere near enough.
  • Pros: Great Copies
  • Cons: Ink Pig

God Help all HP Officejet 8500 A909a printer owners, Because HP wont

ocreco, Ebay
8 December 2013
  • Summary: It's funny ,I think I scared my printer (same model) when I dissected the one that I bought .. I installed some of the parts(print heads) and fixed the printing problem, but the constant alignment problem persisted. It still will not pass a alignment test but the constant aligning has stopped . I am using it for parts as I am determined to keep mine going. This printer doesn't have one good review.

When it works, it's ok. Problem: doesn't work for long.

gkhairallah--2008, CNET
24 October 2013
  • Summary: This printer is worthless.
  • Pros: It's versatile... when it works.
  • Cons: Does not work., - First replacement of cartridges, and the printer would be missing colors. Spend $110 on a new set of cartridges. Then another $50 for a print head, and still no printing.

Awful, glitchy, counterintuitive, ravenous ink eater.

cluhn, CNET
16 September 2013
  • Summary: Would never buy this printer again. Indeed, I think this one is the last straw for HP and me.
  • Pros: Not too many. Hmm: slick-looking.
  • Cons: Very spotty performance; counterintuitive interface; slow; eats ink like nobody's business; lots of paper jambs.
