Summary: It is very unfortunate I have not tried the item that i bought. I am somebody who do not have any idea about how to fix or connect and start a printer, as a result of that the printer has been sitting down there quietly without doing anything. I guess it will work good if I get somebody to connect it to my PC for me. And I'm very optimistic about that.
Decent older wireless-G all-in-1, but no mem card slots

Summary: I think my Pros and Cons summarize this printer nicely. It's not the worst printer I've ever owned. The one thing that really bothers me is that it's so difficult to get the thing running. The software/driver takes forever to install and sometimes times out on you, forcing you to uninstall and then reinstall the driver/software to get the thing to work.
Pros: - All-in-one, - 901XL Black cartridge lets you output ~900 pages, - Lets you scan in PDF or JPEG to PC if PC is on (requires full-feature driver), - Can choose either full-featured or stripped-down driver, - Support site has links to Linux drivers
Cons: - No color XL cartridge, - 1 3-color cartridge (not separated into additive colors), - No USB, memory card or Ethernet ports, - Wireless-G, not N, - Doesn't automatically duplex pages to save paper, - Software hard to install, - Can't scan >1 page @ a time
Summary: bought for my niece and her family she is very happy with the officejet and does every thing that they need to do. the only complaint is that the ink cartiridges were not in the box when they opened the box.
Summary: First off, from all of the reviews that I had read prior to purchase I was not sure what to expect. I have only had this printer for a few days now and I can say that thus far it is the best printer that I have owned. The wireless feature (which was the most important factor for me) works flawlessly and was easy to set up after downloading the software for Windows 7(disk was outdated and not Windows 7 compatible) from HP's website.
Summary: I'm basically pretty happy with this printer. I'm having a little trouble scanning documents to WordPad but that may be my PC. It does everything I need it to do. I had a lexmark but I think this is an improvement.
Summary: It is cheap yet reliable and extremely versatile. It does indeed fax, copy and scan. I would not recommend installation without an assistant unless one is very proficient. The downsides are that the printing on both sides of the page needs to be done manually and it somewhat slower than my less jet printer.
Summary: I purchased this printer for my sister who is new to having a multi-function printer and having her own PC. She shares with me that it is easy to use for a rookie, excellent starter for a beginner. Time will tell if it holds up. For the cost I consider it to be a disposable printer. If it goes belly up ion 6 months then oh well.
Summary: does everything i need and the wireless made it great for my laptop also.it coppies fast and also does great as faxing. i also like the flat screen copy area so i can lay it on the screen if it won't go through.just make sure you get the xl black ink so it will last longer.
