Summary: I had to run set up for wireless connection several times before I could get it to work. It would work sometimes, and sometimes it didn't. Had to unistall and reinstall often. It automatically disconnects itself from the wireless feature at the most inconvenient times. Also paper jams a lot. I bought an extended warranty and I'm glad I did, because it doesn't work at all now. Don't know if I will purchase another HP or not.
Summary: I'm in no way an expert when it comes to technology. This printer worked well and was easy to use until it just stopped working. I've had it for less than two years, and it no longer recognized that there is paper in the tray. I called HP support, and they said it was a hardware problem and there was nothing they could do. I asked if I could get parts replaced, and they said there was nothing they could do. They did suggest, however, that I buy a new unit from them.
Summary: I wanted the convenience of a wifi printer to eliminate the jungle of cables in my office. The printer set up easily enough, but tended to drop the signal even with the wifi router less than 10 feet away. Several times the only way to get the connection going again was to reinstall it. When it IS working, the print quality is close to unusable. I rarely get a page that does not have random digital artifacts all over the page.
Summary: The problem: I have installed the printer over and over. Every once in a while, it won't work and I have to re-install it again. I even kept it corded, thinking it was a wireless issue. It wasn't. The printer requires regular re-installation on both my desk top and laptop. I have always LOVED HP printers. This one is a lemon.
Summary: Initially price and available functions attracted me to buy this printer. It has pretty much all the functions in it which you need at home from printing basic documents, photos, scanning and faxing. When it is not in use and it is on it is making humming noise. When it's running it's like a train coming. Scanning from panel always give error messages even after installing and configuring drivers and softwares.
Summary: This printer has basically been a boatload of problems for my family. You practically have to reset it every time you want to print something. It prints slower than a scribe in the 1400s. I could bash this printer all day. Instead I will say that one can purchase a printer of far greater quality than this for the same price. Don't buy this printer.
Summary: I've finally given up on this worthless chunk of plastic, it is now snuggled up to my trash can. The upside to the unit is that it is fairly inexpensive, which is a good thing, since you will likely be replacing it fairly soon. You can expect constant paper jams and finally a complete failure of the paper feed entirely. With a simple Google search you will find entire sites dedicated to the repair of the paper feed mechanism of this unit.
Summary: I spent about two straight days trying to get this unit to operate on my wireless network, which included about four hours of help-free tech support ("Uninstall and reinstall...") and resulted in me breaking down and buying a USB splitter so I could just hardwire it to two computers.
"Hard to use. Very disappointed in the performance."

Pros: Versatile, Liked the fact that it printed, copied, faxed, and scanned. and was relatively inexpensive.
Cons: Hard to see the controls on left side. Smart Web Printing didn't work. Would like to see a preveiw before I print something out. Don't like the fact it prints the last page first . The printed page flies out to the floor.
