Excerpt: I have only used this machine for a short time, but love it. Printing from any room in the house, from my iPad, phone or computer. Everyone in the house can use it without wire connection. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is it is a little louder than I expected. But not bad. The scan quality is very good and on top of all the great features I can print and scan A3 pages.
Excerpt: Whem I first tried to make an 11 x 17 size, I wa not able to do so. I finnally made 2 8 x 11 and placed them sideway on the scanner and was able to print an 11 x 17. I had to take care to place the two so there woulds be no gap..Smilarly I have not been able to make a 13 x 19 or a 13 x 20. I began to suspect that the fault was in my publishing program. I went to the Staples store where I had first seen the 7610.
Excerpt: I bought this printer because it did wide-format printing and DUPLEXING. It does duplex....if you manually turn the paper. I don't call that duplexing. So I bought $50 auto duplexing accessory C7G18A. Other than than that....it is quiet, it prints beautifully, it has the faxing capability, it has the wide format for my scrapbooking, it has a large scanner (although not 13 x 19, just 11 x 17) for my genealogy, it can print 13 x 19 for family trees, it prints photos well...
Summary: While I've only had this printer for a few weeks I have to say that so far it's done everything I've wanted it to do and done it quite well! I do a lot of sewing and crafting and bought this wide format printer/scanner to allow me to scan and print larger pattern pieces. I also have the need to print on fabric sheets and the paper side of a fusible web product both used in quilting.
Excerpt: It did require some HP Support to fix some software and communication bugs during initial setup. The HP Support tech was great, helpful, and friendly. Once problems were fix everything worked great. It prints fast! However, Staples should do better to inform consumers that the duplex feature is only available as an option sold separately.
Summary: I gave the ratings as 4 stars ONLY because I have not evaluated the scan feature or used 11x17" paper yet. Printing from my desktop and making copies/enlargements/reductions has worked beautifully! Good color and crisp black copies; easy-to-use display to change settings for custom sizes. So far, I would highly recommend this machine.
Excerpt: 1) love the size and easy set up. Fits on top of a small filing cabinet and is compact although it prints the ledger paper. 2) love the print quality. Comes through better than the color copier and faster. Quality in color and presentation. 3) love the ink production. Have had printer and used it everyday. Just replaced the black cartridge, still have not replaced any of the colors. Out put seems to be right on target for what was advertised.
Summary: The main purpose for this purchase was to be able to print an 11x17 without borders . That seems to be impossible with this product. All attempts to do so result in one or more edges being compromised. Even with the help of your tech support and knowledgeable assisting friends, the result has been the same. Also the printing process is extremely , agonizingly slow. Using this machine for reproducing my art prints is all but useless. Disappointed is putting it mildly.
