Summary: It's scans slowly. The default margins are almost 3/4" top and bottom. That means your typical word doc or pdf will most certainly have cutoff headers and footers. To get around that you can print in "Index Card" or "Borderless" but this way takes around a minute or two per sheet.
Summary: This prints fine, and is easy to set up WiFi. However, the simple things, like the paper tray guides are a piece of crap. They jammed when I took them out of the box. The paper tray is terrible, the lid is terrible. It is all very cheaply made plastic parts. Very disappointed in this product.

Summary: Data sheet on Amazon site said it was compatible with Windows Server 2003 R2. Driver disk would not install even the basic driver on my W2k3 machine. Called HP. Told me it was not compatible. After pressing them, they suggested I try the Windows XP driver.
Poor printer device driver makes good printer stupid

Summary: This printer is a HUGE disappointed. HP printer driver developers should be FIRED. You CANNOT print closer than 0.63" to the edge of a 8.5x11" page. Really, this is ludicrous. Luckily, as a large format printer, you can fool the printer (not documented anywhere) into thinking the paper is bigger, as...
has an audible fan, and can't print an actual size document edge to edge

Summary: First huge disappointment for me is that this printer has a fan, which is very audible in a quiet office environment, or if on a desk near your computer. One big advantage of inkjet printers is they are usually silent and fan-less, compared to laser printers. Why HP added a fan here, I have no idea.
Summary: I bought this to print 4 page newletters for work on 11x17 so that its like a booklet. What is not told to you is that it will not auto duplex, which is the whole reason I bought it. Apparently you have to but another accessory. The print quality is so so as well.
I have this printer and it does wide format printing ...
1 February 2014
Summary: I have this printer and it does wide format printing. It also uses more ink, faster than any other printer I've ever owned. I don't know what the issue is but I try printing as a fast draft and it still uses up all the ink. Not terribly impressed with this beast.
Summary: Its a great price for the printing format - and I should have followed my instincts, I generally don't buy HP printers, but this time I did for other reasons, and found the following: Pros: The Wireless Printing really does work very well, and I can talk to it from multiple devices - wirelessly.
Summary: Network printing and scanning works great, worked with all my computers including Linux machines with no issues. Never tried to fax. Really handy to have something that will print and scan such a large format. Document feeder worked surprisingly well.
