Summary: I bought this to print 4 page newletters for work on 11x17 so that its like a booklet. What is not told to you is that it will not auto duplex, which is the whole reason I bought it. Apparently you have to but another accessory. The print quality is so so as well. Not the good quality I expect from HP.
Excerpt: I've used Cannon, HP, and Brother large-format printers and don't think I have ever had this much trouble formatting an 11x17 pdf to print from my pc (Dell). I have selected every screen to print size as 11x17, but it's a very sparse set up page! I think there might be something wrong with the installation. But I'm also wondering if i have to go through this every time I need to print to 8 1/2 x 11 then change to 11 x 17, and vice versa.
Excerpt: When I got it home Iit would not print 2 sided. I had to go to the site and download the manual, as it does not come with one (VERY INCONVENIENT)to discover I had to buy another piece of equipment to print 2 sided??? The bos ONLY SAID 2 SISED PRINTING, no mention of a need to buy another piece. Coul;d you please mail me a printed manual?: ): )The printer works fine but no manual and no 2 sided printing I scored 2 stars instead of 4.
Pros: Durable construction, Easy To Set Up, Easy To Use, Reliable
Cons: Advertised 2 Sided Print, But Have To Purchase Addi, Download No Way To Set, For Fast Pring Less Ink, Itional Piece To Print 2, Large Footprint, Like Old Hp Had, No Fast Print Option Like, No Manual In Box Have To, Older Hp Had Less Ink, Sided
Excerpt: I have other HP scanners and they all scan group pictures as individual photos. This scanner, which has the wide format, does not have that capability. It scans a group of pictures and you end up with a photo of the whole group. Very disappointed. I scan 50 - 100 pictures for a dvd slideshow and I will have to revert to the smaller scanners to make a dvd.
Excerpt: 11 x 17 bed for scanning and 11 x 17 printing is the only reason to have this machine. Printing in general, letter and legal are about the same as my 5 year old 7680, which by the way still works great. Access to the paper tray is cumbersome due to the platform above not staying up on its own and not a good fit/set up. It was a tough call to keep it. If I didn't have the room and a current job that required an 11 x 17 bed I would have sent it back.
Excerpt: After less than 12 hours of using it and making about 50 copies, the hardware failed. Called into HP support and after 45 minutes of them asking me to remove all the paper (yes I removed it!!) no success. Printer is getting returned. For what it's worth, the copies are of great quality but I've been an Epson user for the past 8 years and will be going back to their products.
Excerpt: I purchased the HP Officejet 7610 Wide Format e-All-in-One Printer by HP. The quality of HP Products have gone downhill. If it had not for the continuous support from the personnel at Staples in LaVerne, I would have returned the printer. They kept me sane and were a tremendous help. HP needs help!!!
Summary: Printer looks impressive. I was able to set it up on a wired ethernet network with no problems. Print quality is OK but not outstanding. There doesn't seem to be any difference between Normal and Best quality. The advertised automatic double-sided printing functionality requires purchase of a duplexer accessory costing around £50. (watch out for weasel words in the small print!) The scanning and copying functions work well.
