It's Ok, but not business class.

Steve Christy, Staples
23 October 2014
  • Excerpt: Plus: Easy set up. Large format capable, up to 13x19. Wireless ready. Compact, small footprint. Good quality prints. Extra Large ink tanks available. Lowest price in format.Minus: Does not include auto duplex (available as an accessory). Single fixed tray, changing paper size or papers is a hassle. Single sheet option feeds from tray. USB cable for that option not included.

Decent all-purpose office printer; NOT a good choice for professional graphics

Karolina, Amazon
17 September 2014
  • Summary: I am a graphic design student in my senior year, and I bought this printer mainly so I could print on 11"x17" sheets and larger, to save myself some time and money. I got tired of going to print shops and shelling out tons of money on printing. I also wanted to use it for general daily printing tasks - printing papers, various documents, photos, etc. I had a $30 Canon printer I owned prior to this that I used for small scale stuff.

Sleepy Printer

EEB, Amazon
2 June 2014
  • Summary: I have been using HP printer for more that twenty years. I started with a pen plotter for architectual drawings. When I turn this printer on the power button is bright green and if I don't send a print to it right away the power button fades to a dull green and the printer won't print, until I press the power button to make it bright green again. HP failed with this one.

OK; But not going to work as planned!

Diana Wellman, Staples
20 May 2014
  • Excerpt: Hi, this printer does great for in office printing. However, it wasn't until after we installed it and were testing it out that we realized that the HP printer does not support 11x17 printing through the HPePrint feature. This was one of the main reasons we bought this printer for in-house larger scale printing.

Meh...Had problems

On The Waterfront, Staples
10 January 2014
  • Excerpt: After nearly four years with my prevous HP 7000 printer (which also printed on ledger paper) it finally gave up the ghost. I had replaced the print head once; I am considered a heavy duty user. Of course, that model is no longer available, so I "upgraded" to HP's new 7110 model which has wireless capability (of course, it did not take the same ink as the previous printer, so I was stuck with four unopened new cartridges).
  • Pros: Easy To Set Up, Easy To Use
  • Cons: Flimsy Construction, Jams Easily, Unreliable

Corrective action

  • Summary: The printer I received also had expired ink cartridges. However, when I notified Overstock, they issued me a credit for the cost of new ones. Not perfect, but not bad.

Expensive to maintain

Nicksdad "Nicksdad", Amazon
1 July 2008
  • Summary: I've had the HP7110 since June of 2003 and it has been a pretty good machine. I've mainly done black and white printing and occasional scanning. I've used the fax feature heavily but don't print many photos because of the high costs. I replaced the print heads last year, which was very expensive, and I just figured out two of the heads need to be replaced again. This is surprising considering I haven't used it nearly as much this year as in the past.

  • Summary: I purchased this printer for the duplex feeder and all in one capability. Unfortunately, I am unable to save to a PDF file when scanning. I use scanning for my home office. The print quality is great.
