Summary: I will never buy another HP product, EVER!
Pros: none that I can find
Cons: comes with out of date software, updates and initialization go on endlessly, I only want to print with black, will not print if any color cartridge is empty, brand new color cartridges show one is "empty", So I go out and buy new ones, after endless initialization the new ones are empty too. This HP7110 has never successfully printed a single page! No help from HP.
HAVE HAD SEVERAL 7110s...SAME TECHNICAL ISSUES EVERY TIME.
1 February 2015
Summary: I really wish that I had some other option for decent-quality wide-format printing...I am a graphic artist who relies on this machine to do smaller print runs. The quality is very nice - when the machine works. I have had at least 5 of these printers over the past few years, and EVERY SINGLE ONE has the same technical issues after about 3 months of medium-duty use.
Avoid HP printers, buy another brand and save yourself the agro
louise corcoran, Amazon
18 January 2015
Summary: Awful purchase. Borderless printing is non existent, was very noisy, it struggled to pick up paper from the in tray if the pile was below 1cm & after 18 months of use (low use i might add) it stopped being able to pick up paper full stop. After spending over £100 on this item I'm left out of pocket after a year and a half...6 months out of warranty & no offer of any help from HP past suggesting i buy another of there printers with a 15% discount.
Summary: This printer is such a headache, failure to print each image back to back. DO NOT BUY THIS ITEM, it keeps startinf over and over and use up new ink cartridges that I paid good money for 3 times. I will never ever buy HP again in my life. I used my phone to record the inside and saw ink everywhere!!!!! A waste of money hands down. If I could do a commercial on NOT getting this printer so that people like me wont buy it I would!!
Summary: Have only used the printer a few times and is 7 months old. It jams and the ink bleeds. I use only HP ink. I have had to pull paper out and it is not easy to clear a jam. I pulled the jam out and broke one of the feet so now it really does not feed right. I give up, I will notify HP and see what they can do, but it does not help me when I have a project to finish within a week.
Summary: This is the worst printer I've ever had. For 3 years I've fought ink problems, paper feed issues. HP is no help. You must use only HP ink or it won't recognize them. Feeding paper, regardless of size, is a hassle. Unfortunately I purchased it from Staples, but I feel so strongly about it I want the Amazon community to know how bad this printer is!
It used to work fine and then suddenly it could no longer print 11x17 ...
23 August 2014
Summary: I have nothing but problems with this printer. It used to work fine and then suddenly it could no longer print 11x17 ( the reason I bought it). I spent 2 hours with tech support trying to get this fixed. No amount of driver updates or HP bloatware could get this working. Against my better judgement, I gave the HP tech control of my PC.
Summary: Once again, HP has proven me right- that I should never buy their products. 1) This thing uses ink so quickly that I can't even keep up. Who in their right mind would put tiny ink cartridges on a 11x17 printer? 2) It contantly jams 3) I have to restart it between every print job. And not just power cycle. I need to pull the plug. Honestly, this was the very last item I will ever buy from HP. I know I say that a lot, but I'm done.
Low Price, But Clunky Operation And Typical HP Cartridge Ripoff
18 July 2014
Summary: Based on price alone, this appears to be a great deal for a wide format printer. Two problems though. First is that HP ships this printer with what's called a "setup" cartridge, which lasted me about a dozen letter-size pages. So not a week after I received this printer, I'm hit with a bill that is almost half what I paid for the printer to replace the cartridges.
