HAVE HAD SEVERAL 7110s...SAME TECHNICAL ISSUES EVERY TIME.
1 February 2015
Summary: I really wish that I had some other option for decent-quality wide-format printing...I am a graphic artist who relies on this machine to do smaller print runs. The quality is very nice - when the machine works. I have had at least 5 of these printers over the past few years, and EVERY SINGLE ONE has the same technical issues after about 3 months of medium-duty use.

Summary: Awful purchase. Borderless printing is non existent, was very noisy, it struggled to pick up paper from the in tray if the pile was below 1cm & after 18 months of use (low use i might add) it stopped being able to pick up paper full stop. After spending over £100 on this item I'm left out of pocket after a year and a half...6 months out of warranty & no offer of any help from HP past suggesting i buy another of there printers with a 15% discount.
Summary: This printer is such a headache, failure to print each image back to back. DO NOT BUY THIS ITEM, it keeps startinf over and over and use up new ink cartridges that I paid good money for 3 times. I will never ever buy HP again in my life. I used my phone to record the inside and saw ink everywhere!!!!! A waste of money hands down. If I could do a commercial on NOT getting this printer so that people like me wont buy it I would!!
Summary: Have only used the printer a few times and is 7 months old. It jams and the ink bleeds. I use only HP ink. I have had to pull paper out and it is not easy to clear a jam. I pulled the jam out and broke one of the feet so now it really does not feed right. I give up, I will notify HP and see what they can do, but it does not help me when I have a project to finish within a week.
Summary: This is the worst printer I've ever had. For 3 years I've fought ink problems, paper feed issues. HP is no help. You must use only HP ink or it won't recognize them. Feeding paper, regardless of size, is a hassle. Unfortunately I purchased it from Staples, but I feel so strongly about it I want the Amazon community to know how bad this printer is!
It used to work fine and then suddenly it could no longer print 11x17 ...

Summary: I have nothing but problems with this printer. It used to work fine and then suddenly it could no longer print 11x17 ( the reason I bought it). I spent 2 hours with tech support trying to get this fixed. No amount of driver updates or HP bloatware could get this working. Against my better judgement, I gave the HP tech control of my PC.
HP Printer Quality really going down hill...This printer has major problems

Summary: this printer sucks in the ink...needs new cartridges at least once a month, for very light printing (less that 100 pages). those cartridges will run you about 60 usd...and don't think you will just get by with B&W in the meantime...nothing prints if any ink is low...so you end up buying everything - every time. save your $$$ and find a better option.
Summary: I bought this printer on another tech site (has egg in the name) and I am simply going to tell people NEVER BUY HP PRODUCTS. The first HP7110 I had broke and HP I did the HP troubleshooting... which meant buying all new ink carts. Well, I had replaced the start up ink carts with a $170 CISS system because I screen print and printing screen positives take A LOT of ink. So I have $170 into a CISS system and $75 into brand new HP ink carts to try and fix the problem.
Summary: I got this printer as a replacement for my Canon Pixma Pro. The quality it okay. The ease of use is RIDICULOUS. It does not print custom sizes. There are tutorials/work arounds for this issue, but they are complex. With the Canon printer, if you had a custom size, you simply put the size in under custom and it worked. I also bought this printer with the understanding that there were off brand cartridges available. There are not. VERY disappointed in this purchase.
