Buy a different printer!
Summary: Terrible printer. These last just past warranty and then give you an "ink system failure" message and cannot be fixed. HP has done nothing to help the hundreds of people asking for assistance on their message boards.
Summary: I have used this printer for my home-office use and I must say that this machine is the biggest money pit printer I have ever had! Being an "ink hog" as other reviewers describe it as is no exaggeration.
Summary: Just say no! OK to be honest, I have 2, both are less that 3 years old, and neither will now print! I regret the day I bought them, they use more ink than the Epson I had before and both stopped feeding paper, later I did research and found this is a common problem with this model.
Summary: If there is a more wasteful, less reliable product on the market I would love to meet it. HP makes garbage products and this is the absolute top of the heap. It's noisy, wastes hundreds of dollars in ink per year and reliably prints maybe 25% of the time.
Summary: I've barely used it at all yet it runs out of ink. I can't even print in black and white only when the color ink is gone. The crazy thing is...I only got maybe 4 or 5 color prints out of it before it lost all it's color ink.
Summary: I agree with what others have written. This is a lemon. I have had mine for 17 months. Now it is giving me a message, "The printhead appears to be missing, not detected, incorrectly installed, or incompatible." In checking on the Internet this appears to be a common problem and no solution.
Do not waste your money on this terribly designed machine.

Summary: In my personal experience of buying HP printers, this may be the worst one out of all of them. It wastes or uses colored ink when there is on B/W printing. It also is very noisy and has to update every time you turn it on and If you're out of the colored ink and only want to print in B/W, it will...

Summary: One of the worst multifunctional printers Ive used but one that looks deceptively robust. The scanning facility is one of the worst Ive seen and creates a paper jam even with one piece of paper fed in. Printer is reasonable but practically drinks ink across multiple cartridges.

Summary: I have owned this waste of space for 3 years and the heads become plugged up and out of alignment on a regular basis. It finally is unable to correctly align the heads and we are going to buy an Epson. Cheaper ink with the printheads on the cartridges. Good bye HP.
