2 printers malfunction for the same reason and customer service useless, literally. Don't buy HP printers ever

Summary: This is the second printer I have purchased that has malfunctioned within eight months. Same exact problem as well. It has carriage problems. I use only HP color cartridges. The one I bought recently was for home before the one at work started. I had to spend and hour and a half on the phone with an overseas customer service rep just to determine that my original complaint about the carriage problem was in fact a malfunction.
else it won't print black and your print becomes a useless paperweight in your office

Summary: This is an absolute DO NOT BUY!! You will spend a fortune in Ink Cartridges. Even if you print Black Ink only it requires each color cartridge to have ink. My daughter had a late night print in Black Ink Only and it kept giving the message Yellow Ink out. I went to the HP forum and they state that even if you use Black Ink only it still requires each color cartridge to have ink; else it won't print black and your print becomes a useless paperweight in your office.
Excerpt: Purchased display model on clearance. Ink cartridges were dry so purchased new set. Ran programs to clean and align printer head. Magenta doesnt work at all.Havent called Staples to see if they can help. Easy to setup on wireless network after downloading driver for windows 8.1.Will probably just use for printing black and white documents and find something else to print photos. Will update review after having some time to get used to printer and after seeing if staples...
Summary: DO NOT BUY. Worst product I've ever purchased. I've never written a review before today, but this product is so bad people should be warned. It runs out of ink so fast your head will spin. I see the specs say, for instance, that the 933 ink cartridge will provide you with 330 pages.. based on my experience it's more like 10 pages. That is not an exaggeration.
Summary: Four hours and forty five minutes of trying to get this computer to 'hook-up' to my HP computer and around and around and around and around in HP land doing all the things HP says to do to 'fix' the connection problems ... to no avail. Don't buy one of these unless you are the type of 'tech-y' that loves a challenge. Ugh. I hate it.
