Summary: All in all a good printer. Does a good job as one would expect. But the problem comes from as other have stated it keeps dropping from the wireless network. A big reason I got it. Lots of computers one central wireless printer. Sounds nice.

Summary: Poor wifi reliability. It does print well, quietly and at a reasonable speed. Gets an F in wifi reliability though. I use several Mac computers and iOS devices on a very strong, very fast personable wifi network. The printer falls off the network about every other time I print.
Summary: We've owned this printer for 14 months so I feel that I can now give a well earned review of this printer. It's an "ink-hog". The reason we've gone through so much ink is because we've had to clean the ink heads almost every time we've needed to print anything more than a couple of pages of color.
Printer has glitch and company doesn't want to admit it!

Summary: When it decides it wants to print, whether connected through the USB cord or a network, it is wonderful. Scans nice, prints nice, etc. However, I have had nothing but issues with it staying connected to my computer to print.
Summary: I loved this printer in the beginning. Love the wireless feature most off all. Scanning and copying is good and quality print is very good. Sometimes when copying 1 copy the printer has a mind of its own and prints 60 copies (or random high number instead of the 1 copy I intended. This occurs often.
Summary: Printer did not work straight out of the box. The carriage wouldn't move. Very pretty printer. Called HP for assist. The only thing they could do is send me a new printer, which has already shipped. I spoke with them less than 4 hours ago.
Summary: My parents purchased this printer in 2009. About a year later or so I was trying to contact hp because the scanner had started leaving streaking lines across the images. Hp would not help us with it because we did not purchase an extended warranty for it.
Summary: This is decent as a copier, and is a slow but working printer. The scanning function is terrible. The device doesn't have a USB port -- no using USB flash drives here, only SD cards. It seems the target user is someone who only wants to print photos from their camera's memory card.
Summary: I've had the HP 6500A Plus for just over a year. It is a low-end printer that I've found satisfactory for black print copies. The color capability is dismal, even the color quality reports that issue from it are awful and I no longer bother putting in the color cartridges.
