"A long history of problems over a couple of years"
21 April 2013
Pros: The ePrint feature, which allows you to print remotely via e-mail, is great, and it is pretty much the only thing about this printer that has consistently worked well.
Cons: At almost no time have all three functions worked. At one point, it scanned, but didn't copy or print. Then it didn't do anything. HP support and diagnostics were useless. Finally called in Geek Squad, so now it copies and prints, but doesn't scan.
Summary: This printer is worthless. I've had it less than a year and there is an error code that cannot be reset. All I did was move it from one side of the room to the other and now I have a $150 paper weight. At one time I really liked HP printers, but the last two that I have purchased have not been worth the money.

Summary: I have an earlier version of this 6500 printer and it has been nothing but trouble - took 2 hours to get it running with wifi by calling tech support. The scan won't work, cant get console configuration routine to work. Constant dropping and going offline, requirinet 1=2 hours to figure how to get driver to work again.
Summary: I've had this printer for a year now - and all i'm left with is a lot of ink and a printer that has taken way too much of my time and energy with many failure episodes. at first, the magenta failed and no new cartridge would help, but i chose to let that go it worked sans-magenta OK except for the fact that it often needed a reboot (almost daily) to "see" the computer then the wireless was super finicky which was fixed with an upgrade, but not the scanning portion - i...
Summary: We are a small family of three and have been owning all in ones and regular printers of all brands for the past 15 years. This one printer has given me the worst experience. I won't slam HP completely, because I had one great all in one from them before this one, but wow, this printer really sucks. We've had it and have been using it for the past year, year and a half. We take care of our printer, so the problem isn't on our end.
Summary: This printer is one of probably 15 I have purchased over several years and it is nothing but problems. Errors out all the time. gobbles ink. wont stay connected to the computer. this is absolutely the worst printer I have ever owned.
Summary: We've owned several HP printers over the years and all were great products until we bought this piece of junk. Worst printer that we have worked with, software problems, ink buildup problems, and now we must replace the printer head. All of these problems in less than a year and fewer than 1000 prints. Evidently the problems that HP as a company have had are now reflected in the quality of their product.
Summary: AMAZON IS THE BEST BUY! The store named Best Buy claims to have a 30 return policy. I bought an HP printer from the so-called Best Buy store and I soon ran out of ink. I also had a terrible time with the HP printer. The HP printer had very little ink, it took forever too get the printer to start, it made a lot of noise when compared to other Brand named printers, it took a long time to print let alone shut down and it printed a test page that used up a great amount of...
