Pros: Decent print quality. Fairly easy to set up. (Not much use if you don't have ink though...)
Cons: Chews through ink ridiculously fast... I have needed to change cartridges every few months and we only print things occassionally. I've actually stopped printing at home, and have saved my work on a usb to print at my local department store. Crap.
Worked great till it stopped working WAY TOO SOON!!!

Summary: Loved this printer while it worked. However, after only less than 1 1/2 years, it stopped working and I need to replace a part that costs $80. I bought the printer at Costco for around $150, so, definitely not spending $80 on a replacement part that may or may not make it work again. And now I have a stock of cartridges (I live in the boonies, so, I stock up in advance). Who makes a printer that will last a few years at least???
Decent print quality, if you can get it to print...

Summary: I have been a long-time purchaser and user of HP products for myself and my real estate company with generally good results. However, I recently replaced an older model with a brand new OfficeJet 6500A, and am having to look at throwing it out and spending more money on a different printer.

Pros: The ePrint feature, which allows you to print remotely via e-mail, is great, and it is pretty much the only thing about this printer that has consistently worked well.
Cons: At almost no time have all three functions worked. At one point, it scanned, but didn't copy or print. Then it didn't do anything. HP support and diagnostics were useless. Finally called in Geek Squad, so now it copies and prints, but doesn't scan.
Summary: Printer makes a lot of noise before printing and plus it takes a while for it to print period. The touch screen has partially stopped respondng so I'm not able to control certain functions. I researched this printer prior to purchasing but that was before all the bad reviews were in. Since its been slightly more that a year, I'm stuck with this Cr*p printer. HP will not respond to all the complaints either.
Summary: I wish I'd read the reviews before purchasing this. I was hoping to upgrade to a newer HP (and I assumed a more efficient one!). This is the worst printer I've owned. I'm constantly having to unplug & replug it to "wake it up." After canceling a print job on the desktop, it will still print half a page...so I'm constantly wasting paper. It's very noisy and makes a lot of whirring sounds. It's very difficult to troubleshoot (no owner manual--all online).
Summary: Sometimes documents print immediately, and other times there is a huge delay (about 30 minutes). The documents show up in the print queue, but don't print. I can't figure out how to make it faster.
