Summary: I bought this a while ago and wanted a wireless printer. It made things difficult and cumbersome having to connect my laptop everytime I wanted to print. I now have an HP8600 Jet pro that I love. I wouldn't buy this printer.
Summary: Unfortunately bad printer. Purchased this as an "all in one" after having great experience with HP printers. The 6500 is not user-friendly - often requiring turning-on, turning-off gymnastics to get it to sync with my HP laptop for scanning.
The very pillar of adequacy -- for occasional use only

Summary: The printer is a fine device. As it is an inkjet, it consumes a lot of ink as I think this type of printer is supposed to. Electromechanically, I'd rate it a 3-4. The quality & quantity of the HP SW associated with this device has really put me off.
Summary: We had this printer 2 years before it wouldn't print at all. For a while we always had to unplug and replug it so that it would sense a job being sent to it wirelessly! It would do this every time it was inactive for a while. Afterwards we got a Brother printer.
Summary: Had this printer for about 3 years. Can't say I've been very happy with it. The things it does when working are great, but it just doesn't work well for very long. Had major issues with getting the network to set up for wireless printing and it was always unreliable. Printed ok B&W.
Print/copy/scan quality is good, but I would not buy this one again

Summary: I have had this printer for about 2 years and now it is broken. It has always been so slow to "prepare" to print. Once it starts printing it is fast, but it will commonly take half a minute or more warming up, moving the printer head around, and whatever else it does before it will print.
