Summary: This has been a terribly difficult printer-scanner to set up and then use. I never did get it to connect wirelessly, despite lots of online searching (including on HP help sites) and viewing of videos. So I limped along connecting it to my laptop with a UBS cord whenever I needed to print.
Summary: If there is one glaring problem with this printer it is not with the functionality per say but the incredible amount of noise it generates when you go to print and the amount of time before the blast of of annoying sounds comes to an end.
If you buy this printer you will regret that decision on a daily basis.

Summary: The HP Officejet 6500 is the absolute WORST printer I have ever owned! These are some of its main features: * It takes 5-minutes to either boot up or shut down * When setting up a new computer to use with it, it doesn't show up on the network * When I send a document to the printer it takes...
Summary: My HP Office Jet 6500 will be thrown into my garbage can today, and thence taken to the city landfill this Friday, where it will undoubtedly join many of its brothers and sisters. Why? Because it refuses to print in black.
Summary: This printer is awful it sucks down ink, fails regularly, and takes about 2-3 minutes to warm up and print your initial page, and that is with leaving it on and ready to print. additionally it does not work well with windows 8 and I have not been able to get it to print color photos since switching...
Summary: Don't buy this printer! I have owned this printer for several years and have had continual problems with it. It is on our network and will only print one page at a time now. If you try and print multiple pages it will skip some.
Summary: The power company shut off the electricity while it was printing, and now it will not feed paper. Used all the utube help videos and checklists I could find, to no avail. Only about a year old. Save you money and buy something else. And when it was working it drank ink by the gallons.
