Summary: I am very disappointed with this machine. Why? The scanner doesn't work right, and the resolution is horrible--it won't pick up faint images. The drivers don't mesh well with Mac OS X users, and it has problems printing. It faxes and copies well--that's just about it.
Overall good multifunction unit despite few problems

Summary: I have owned this multifunction unit for over 3 years now. I have found the print to be excellent and very economical on ink. The scans are very good although the software wants to include a border on some scans which is irritating.
Summary: I am writing to give an extended time review. I have owned my 6110 for at least 8-9 years. Only problem-in the past year is the scanner cable comes off and cannot boot up. But after 8 trouble free severe service years, that is quality.
Summary: I have an older HP (Office jet G55Xi). It worked sort of ok for a year or so (each print job did crash the network), but when I upgraded my network well it quit working. I have the Jet direct server, which can be upgraded, and presumably that would help, but it requires a PC (I have macs) to do the...
Summary: I'm surprised by the variety of bad experiences some have had with this printer as it's worked like a charm for my family and me for almost 4 years now. I use the duplexer attachment, and refill the cartridges by syringe with bulk ink by Inktec or Stratitec, so it's almost printing for free.
Summary: Mixed emotions was once described as "seeing your mother-in-law going over the cliff in your brand new Cadillac." Well, this printer has left me, after months of ups and downs, with very mixed emotions. When it worked, it was impeccable. The print quality was exceptional.
Summary: I have a Dell PC running Windows XP and had zero problems installing this. Took about 20 minutes. I was upgrading from a cheapo Canon S300 that decided to stop working yesterday, and this is really my first experience with a modern color printer that cost over $200. I'm VERY impressed.
Summary: I bought my HP 6110 about 18 months ago. It has always been a noisy printer, and the ADF never worked that well. Recently there has been lots of carriage noise, and now a "carriage jam" error shows up. I've checked it out several times, no jam I can see.
Summary: timely and difficult to setup. automatic document feeder does not catch very well. have to give it a few tries. fax auto answer does not work all the time. many times fax went on when it was a voice call. still haven't got print and scan to work even though usb cable works fine.
