Keep Looking

Jerry M. Nichols, Amazon
28 September 2014
  • Summary: I'm disappointed in this printer. Paper jams are frequent, and it feels very poorly made. The pull-out plastic extender for supporting printed or copied documents fits poorly and feels like it's going to break every time I touch it. No thought appears to have gone into the retrieval tray (where your fax and copy originals wind up) design: you have to drag pages out from a narrow slit.

Ric "Hap", Amazon
26 July 2014
  • Summary: The Staples salesman said he believed this was the best cheap printer at the time of purchase so I bought it. It lasted about a year and then the cartridge went into a jam mode that could not be uncleared rendering the printer useless. Never really liked the display navigation anyways and my wife hated the thing- always having problems printing with communication errors from her wireless computer. Time for something better!

Be prepared to buy a replacement printer in about 14 months!

JerryMac, Amazon
14 June 2014
  • Summary: I really liked the printer. Seems to have a good print quality and it was pretty fast. But after about 14 months (of course the warranty had expired!) the printer stopped printing black ink. I tried everything. Cleaned the printer heads numerous times (which drains the ink levels). Replaced the black cartridge. So I started to research the issue. Seems the problem happens with HP products. I'm scratching HP products from list. Very disappointed.

Black Ink Problem

P. Wayne, Amazon
4 May 2014
  • Summary: I've owned HP printer products for many years; but this one lasted the shortest. After only 14 months and 3 regular size cartridges of printing (about 600 pages) - the black ink totally failed. I tried all the solution on the HP Support forum - even 3 cycles of head cleaning - but the black is dead. Seems like a common problem with this printer. If the black did not fail - then I was fine with all other features.

Sort of okay printer

Daniel Ross, Amazon
29 April 2014
  • Summary: I've had this printer for about eight months now. I see tons of reviews about issues with the paper jam message. I have luckily never had that issue. Here's my breakdown of the printer: Pros: - Wireless feature (when it works) is great - Compact footprint for a multi-function printer - Prints good quality Cons: - Wireless feature has been troublesome. I have two computers connected to it. One connected and stopped working after a week or two.

sucks: ink and otherwise

mcc2133 "mcc2133", Amazon
27 February 2014
  • Summary: I have had this for about a year. I bought it because it was inexpensive & the ink was inexpensive. Or so it seemed. However, I am constantly having to refill ink cartridges. When it was first under warranty I had to keep calling HP for assistance. It wasn't showing that the ink was empty and yet it was not printing & you can't figure out why. Horrible to try to figure out which ink is low, and they are all constantly low. I am buying ink every month.

HP is fast making worse and worse printers

LegalEagle, Amazon
26 January 2014
  • Summary: If I had to rate this printer on how it prints (when it does) I would give it more stars, but this printer is an example of what HP is the fastest collapsing hardware company in the world of computers and printers. Biggest problem: Wireless setup is difficult, and at least once a day it loses its connection to the network. You find out when you hit print on the computer and its offline.

You get what you pay for...

Chuck Robyn Peoples, Amazon
17 December 2013
  • Summary: You definitely get what you pay for. I have my printer for about two weeks. It prints okay, I haven't had any paper jam issues and the print quality is alright. However, I have mine set up as a wireless printer and if it has been unused for more than about 4 hours I have to turn it off and then back on for the computer to be able to "find" it. Also, the graphs on the printer screen look like they are from the 90's! Like I said, you get what you pay for!
