Mixed emotions...

Munzaga, Amazon
25 April 2013
  • Summary: I got this for my husband as a gift, and he just was not happy about it at all. Verbatim he said, "What the heck do I need a printer for?". I could think of all sorts of things and so I acquired this snazzy little printer shortly after Christmas and it served me well for a couple months.

Be careful

Jackie Adams, Amazon
26 March 2013
  • Summary: The HP all-in-one 4500 printer is a good printer. The problem that I had was mine. I have a 4500 wireless printer that went bad and I was looking to replace it. I went on the internet and searched for "HP 4500 wireless printer".

Cheap, works

Adam A., Newegg
18 June 2012
  • Summary: You get what you pay for. I got it for $50 and for a $50 printer it's adequate.
  • Pros: It works and most of the time works well. I got it for $49.99 and it's been up to the tasks I've thrown at it.
  • Cons: It's an ink hog. I am constantly replacing the cartridge even though I am not a person who is constantly printing stuff. Also, it's had a couple of paper jams that I've had to fix.

pretty good printer except for a few minor details

N/A, Newegg
20 April 2012
  • Summary: HP should seriously take in concern pricing for there ink cartridges.
  • Pros: it prints nice, copier some time a bit off, software can be updated to new version, extra software that come with it is ok not the best. Print quality is good. I use it over the network which helps a lot since i run more then one pc.
  • Cons: Ink life is very very low, and the price range to buy new ink is expensive specially since this printer does wastes ink extremely fast I really dont see the point on why its so expensive. I really think HP should dramatically drop the price on ink Cartridge that have a very short life. I estimate...

Good Printer / False Advertising

Kevin R., Newegg
26 March 2012
  • Summary: Ugh....
  • Pros: Great printer all around. Haven't had any trouble yet, and Cartridge World's prices for refilling the cartridges is excellent.
  • Cons: When I purchased this printer, newegg had it listed as wireless. I gave up trying to figure out how to setup the wireless networking on it until I realized this is a wired only printer! It seems that after a year, there's very little I can do but suck it up.

modern HP printers unclear

D0UG, Amazon
13 November 2011
  • Summary: HP use to name their printers INKJET and LASERJET but now you have to read into the details to determine which format it is. So what is OFFICEJET? If it is not ink and not toner, then what is it. Office? Does it put office on the paper? HP use to make great printers.
