Don't buy this!

luvn' life, Amazon
11 March 2015
  • Summary: Biggest hunk of cr@p I've ever purchased. So disappointing. All it ever does is give me error messages about the ink levels, so I replace the ink and it will print a thing or two for me and then I will start getting the error messages all over again.

Don't buy it

CMF, Amazon
26 February 2015
  • Summary: I've owned this for several years now, and it's been nothing but trouble. Some of the many reasons not to buy it: - it randomly and for no apparent reason loses its ability to connect to my wireless network - it jams constantly - cartridges are unreasonably expensive - IT WON'T PRINT WITH AN EMPTY...

GARBAGE!

Cynkris, Amazon
11 January 2015
  • Summary: This thing is a piece of junk! I bought it to replace the HP Officejet 4500 All-in-one that had broken after a year and a half. It started making a weird grinding noise and quit printing. I bought this one because I had JUST bought new ink for it and it was the only printer the ink cartridges fit!

unreliable do not buy

Gerry83, Amazon
27 December 2014
  • Summary: I have 2 of these printers bought for limited home use at different locations. I have had good luck with other HP products but not this one. Both have same defect. Black ink cartridges uniformly fail after only a few weeks, cleaning does not work. Cartridge is still full but will not print.

I then bought a HP 4632 printer and so far it works great.

Larry R. Mitchell, Amazon

  • Summary: When I first turned it on, it made a loud chattering sound for a few seconds, then started working ok. Two weeks later it made that same sound again and said it was printing, but it wasn't. I never could get it to print anything after that.

Save Yourself! Get an Epson Instead!

WHC, Amazon
10 December 2014
  • Summary: This is the most useless over-engineered underwhelming piece of junk I have had the displeasure of having to deal with!!! If you're OK with printing on nothing but 8.5 x 11 paper and using # 10 envelopes exclusively, then by all means buy one.

Eventually it started making terrible grinding noises whenever I turned it on

GerryD, Amazon
30 November 2014
  • Summary: Total junk. We had this for about a year and I am throwing it out today. It never worked well with our Mac, and I had to unplug/replug every time I wanted to use it. Eventually it started making terrible grinding noises whenever I turned it on. It also seemed to use a lot of ink.

Timothy J. Arnold, Amazon

  • Summary: Eff you HP! I gave you 2 chances and both printers died within 24 months, not to mention copious problems, jams, not waking up, not working wirelessly, just overall a crap worthless piece of sloppy American-made trash. Paid over $200 at Costco.

Rubbish

SMG, Amazon
9 October 2014
  • Summary: Just awful. There was a time when buying a HP printer was a safe bet of getting a product that actually worked. This printer doesn't. Getting the wi-fi set up was a nightmare. It kept telling me that a port was blocked and I needed to re-configure my firewall.
