Summary: We originally bought this guy as a backup for our Canon scanner, printer, makes lemonade, etc., printer. However, the Canon soon died and well, this one easily adapted to our main computer usage.
Pros: It's an all in one printer for about $50. The prints are decent for printing documents and some pictures but it is not meant for more than that. Comes with drivers for XP, Vista, and OSX and the HP Solution Center.
Cons: To scan documents you have to scan them through the printer like a fax so I doubt this will work on smaller documents like receipts. Also no usb cable included.
Pros: 1. It can copy stuff like a regular copier, WITHOUT the PC, does not need any soft... So ever before installing drives and soft, no cable to PC, I hit 'copy' and it did it! Don't know how many people would try this, I did. 2. Does many things, and easily, PDF's a scanned document into a TINY file...
Cons: 1. Not a big con, but the cartridges are 'small', cannot use it for heavy printing, like I would... 2. Not big either, does not come with the USB cable (I got it from a 1$ store for ... $1).
Summary: Product arrived on time and in excellent condition. Easy to set up and install. I was up and running in no time. All features on this machine work great and I am ultra-pleased with my purchase. I recommend this product; you'll wonder how you ever lived without one!
Pros: Fits anywhere you want to place it. Easy to set up, install and use. Great addition to any home office or small business. Prints beautifully crisp and clear, faxes, copies and scans perfectly. Highly recommended.
Summary: There is a work around but I'm not sure how i did it. Some combination of downloading drivers and using the install disc gets it to work.
Pros: Had no trouble with this printer using 32 bit windows. Installed easy, prints fast. Fax was easy to setup as well.
Cons: I wanted to share it on the network and let my 64 bit OS use it, drivers on the disc did not work. Drivers on site did not work either. Had to "hack" it to make it work for 64 bit. Don't buy this if you want to use it on 64 bit OSes.
Pros: Light in weight, compact, feature laden, inexpensive, simple to use, very good included software, quiet. A terrific buy. Easy installation. (follow directions) Linux drivers are included in distributions so this device prints in Linux environment. Some brands of printers do not.
Summary: Get it for what it is: an inexpensive, low duty cycle all-in-one. It may be able to work harder, but in my business, it just needs to work when asked, which is infrequent. The manual states that the printer is designed to work in an environment where it may not have been used for extended period of...
Pros: I just started my business and was really counting my money. I almost paid double for a Canon MP500/530, and at the time, I was thinking I made a mistake. Once I made several faxes, quickly, without having to remember my J2 Fax username/password, I was sold. The little 4315 was not only half the ...
Cons: It's a little loud when pulling in paper. Fax volume, turned down, is still at "11". Standard ink cartridges appear small. Double size appear fine.
Summary: We do not use this product as a printer or a scanner but just as a fax machine on a distintive ring line with an answer machine on the first line. They work great together. Lots of options for custom setup. Does not need to be hooked to a computer.
