Summary: All in all, I am very pleased with this unit.
Setup was quick and easy and the USB connection has always worked well for me. Scanning directly to a file (jpg or MS Word) is very nice. Scanning directly to PDF should have been added, but I use the freeware doPDF in it's place.
Pros: I needed a printer and I always have owned HP printers. For the price payed this is a very good printer. The print quality is very good. If you are on a low budget look closely at this printer. The copier, fax, and scanner functions work great. It works fast too.
Summary: I previously owned an earlier model of this printer/scanner/fax and it lasted more than 3 years before it went bad, which, I am told, is a good run for such an inexpensive item. I prefer this to a flatbed scanner type. For a small home office it is perfect and easy to use.

I'm very pleased with the quality of the scanning. What little printing I've done with it seems to be of the same quality of other HP inkj...
Cons: The ADF is a little finicky. It works well enough, once you get a feel for its temperament. The two or three jams I have experienced have been with documents that had nicked/wrinkled edges and other imperfections. But, it's the kind of gravity-fed ADF that you have to watch closely if you don't w...
