Not real happy with machine
7 March 2011
Summary: Comments about HP LaserJet Pro M1536DNF Multifunction Printer: Bought primarily for fax use but even after down loading updates it will not auto connect to fax. We have to manually connect which keeps us from receiving faxes during hrs we are closed.
Pros: Accurate Colors, Efficient, Fast, Sharp Detail
Summary: I have had this printer at our place of work and used it mostly as a fax and copy machine since August 2010. We only copy/fax about 500 pages a month, so it should be fine. However, since I've had it, the cartridges run out of ink between 500-800 copies (depending on settings, etc).
It can't reconize in coming fax when working with high speed internet

Summary: Everything work fine except it is noisier compare to Brother printer. The only reason I lower my rating on this printer is because it can send fax but it can't recognize in coming fax. I use AT&T U-verse Internet.
Summary: Printer works fine with Windows 98, xp or Vista. However, Windows 7 does not support this printer. I have downloaded very version of HP software to install this printer on a Windows 7 operating system (including the universal and basic HP printer and scan software) and none of them have worked.
Summary: It prints good quality fast, but it is noisy. If it is right on your desk you will not want to talk on the phone while printing. The install software is a little buggy. I have installed it twice and needed tech support both times.
Summary: This printer would be a good printer if there was good online support for installing the buggy software. It gets stuck saying that it is 99% installed, then gives an error. There is no place on the net where it helps to find out how to reset the computer. Uninstalling software does not help.
Summary: As a copier and printer it works just fine, but I brought it specifically to print from my iPad and iPhone and three weeks later........Nothing doing! Will absolutely not work. EPrint is DOA. Seriously disappointed.
Summary: While the HP has a lot to recommend it as a printer, there are a few features that are absolutely annoying and slow down production. First, I bought this printer because HP has better software than Brother, although overall the Brother worked more efficiently.
Summary: This unit works reasonably well. That is not the problem. The problem is that the HP toner cartridge ce278a / 78a hardly lasts any time at all, and at $70-80/ea. it is not sustainable for us. We went from spending roughly $10/month on toner with our Brother printer, to $70/month with this one.
