Summary: I purchased this printer, copier, scanner 6/15/14 and until today I was reasonably satisfied considering the cost. However today I discovered that the scanner reduces the image's physical size. The largest reduction happened when I scanned with the general purpose setting.
you must purchase a separate line just for this piece of garbage.

Summary: Just another piece of junk from HP. Stopped working all together after one year. I cant scan nor print. After FIVE HOURS trying to get this thing to work, I give up. Tried uninstalling and reinstalling, no help. HP has a few links to customer support...they go to pages that do not exist.
Summary: Don't even think about buying this(or any other hp product if you want cus service). I'm still on phone with them after 40 mins. This printer didn't last 6 months and the doc feeder quit. Finally got a replacement(after 2 week wait and hour on phone). It was a refurb with the same problem!!!
Summary: OfficeMax sold me this unit as a wireless. After a 30 minute wait to get HP support (I got lucky getting a Canadian support to talk to me) they told me that this is NOT a wireless printer.
Pros: Unknown or none as I never got a chance to use it!
Cons: "Instruction manual" is a joke (lacking reasonable directions), mostly mute, just diagrams, pictures, instead of text. Paper tray is a joke and is exposed to dust. Build is shabby. Cartridge is so small and cartridge "loft" is very hard to open!
Summary: Third unit of same model with mispick error. They all seem to fail right after the warranty expires.. Someone should file a class action suit against HP for this notorious fail. The only reason I keep buying this models because I have a dozen toner cartridges for it and the printer is pretty cheap...
Summary: In addition to the over 1,000 others who experienced the same sudden failure of the units ability to detect incoming faxes, and after going through all the HP on line troubleshooting and setting configurations.
Summary: Opened the box. connected the printer to my network. I have windows, ubuntu, mac clients to help configure it. Whenever the printer was connected to the network, the printer would crash within 5 minutes and give a 49 error. HP support was not helpful and refused to provide a return label.
Summary: I am an IT manager at a small business. I purchased several of these for light (occasional) use not unlike home use. I normally stick to HP products, in my opinion, they are the most dependable overall.
Lacks true network scanning. Won't install on Vista

Summary: We have installed many HP MFC devices. I was surprised to find that this unit does not provide the ability to select the destination from the M1536 control panel. If a user wants to scan to his computer they have to initiate the scan at their computer.
Summary: I bought this printer as I was quite intrigued by the "ePrint" services. Being able to mail a document to a printer makes things quite easy ... so I thought! The whole web registration and turned out to be a total waste of my time.
